I emailed the Mail yesterday with the following...

Hi, I've noticed a lot of female names on the leaderboards, good luck to them but I suspect they're getting a little help from their partners. If my wife entered some teams for the next monthly competition and I helped her, would she be eligible for a prize? Regards,
They replied today

Thank you for your recent correspondence.

The terms of the game state that "Participants found to have registered more than five teams may be removed from the MailOnline Game, disqualified and not be eligible to win prizes. If you do not provide your real name when registering, you may not be able to claim any prize for which you otherwise would be eligible. Entries must not be submitted by agents or third parties and such entries will be deemed void"

We cannot stop friends and family giving advice to managers, although of course if you were to pass on advice to your wife and she beat you, you may not be entirely happy with that!

Kind regards

Fight the cause to get the Prossers reinstated??

'giving advice' "Hey, missus stick Aguero in your team he's about to hit a purple patch" and directly managing multi teams ie. sitting down and logging into multi usernames making multi transfers all from the same IP address are not the same thing.

This changes nothing as 'giving advice' is common knowledge, we're all doing it on here with each other for heavens sake.

But if it is the same thing then the Prossers (or at least some/one of them) should not have been ejected. GFM may have made a complete boo boo. Their next move will be very interesting.

edit. I think your thread title is misleading in what you asked gfm and the words they replied with, Elk.

No they're not the same thing, but most husbands live with their wives and will also have the same IP address, it would be impossible for the mail to prove who actually entered the teams and who is managing the teams, so that's why they allow it.

Any other Laidlaws play The Mail game this season that you know of Herc? maybe female, maybe targetting an early monthly prize? Probably a different Laidlaw.
