FS Record: FPL a work in progress, got over 2,000 pts last season, usually do a bit better in FISO IKTS league 2nd, 8th, 15th last 3yrs.

In some respects if he's rested 2nd half it works out well, the whole 'when will he be rested' thing will finally be put to bed, and we can all carry on as normal. Again, just demonstrates anyone trying to second guess the whole rested thing has nothing to show for it except frustration and missed points. To get 30pts AND be rested in one game, just perfect.

RVP will play the part of the match where Arsenal score goals.

2 goals, an assist before half time - 3 bonii guaranteed and now against 10 men.

Kept Rooney instead of bringing him in... Balls.

ouch! bad luck. he's el capitan for me of course.

My two guesses:

He'll either play the 90 minutes and will get 3goals, 2 assists, and 3 bonus points.
Or he'll be hauled off at 65-70minutes to be rested with the game won.

hahahha spot on :)

Only a win will do today as 4th is already gonna be a battle, Chamakh is not available, he hasn't trusted Walcott or Park yet to play upfront and Henry hasn't been match fit, I really would be stunned if he did it and it will kick off in the ground if he does.

Sunderland away next week is not a good time to rest RVP i would have thought followed by Spurs and Liverpool
If he is going to rest him then this week is the time.
Like you say he is under pressure so he may not rest him but i would.

Just as well you are not incharge mate.

You do realise that playing him for 90 minutes is a good clue that maybe Wenger knew he was going to rest him next weekend

He won't be resting him in the league or CL, he's that important, I reckon he will sit out the FA Cup game.

This topic is kind of pointless. No one is going to transfer out or leave him on the bench because he might be rested for one game.

Maybe but there are other ways of it providing fulfilment. Such as through laughter....

Can't believe people took this thread seriously, no way that Wenger would ever rest RVP.

He was rested GW9.

I say rested, he was benched.

I say benched, he did make a late 25 minute appearance.

I say appearance, he scored twice and bagged 11 FPL points.

3 poacher finishes from (2xWalcott 1xCoquelin) crosses. You'd think they would just keep someone goalside of him... after 2 goals. But no.

I wish that chip had gone in. Same as the Bolton one, and the Sunderland one. All superb.

If you are going to rest a player against a relgation favourite at home is the time to do it.
Wenger does the same thing year on year out he runs the players into the gound so whenever the business end of season comes around the players are dead on their feet.
He was tempted to rest him he said so himself.

Never worry about threads like this. It's his points hauls recently that were a concern, and Arsenal's general ability to get results in recent games.

I'd only had 2 hours sleep when I got up to watch the game, but went straight back to bed after he'd scored in 2 minutes. "Drat", I thought. I got up again at half 5 to watch the City game, saw the full severity of the damage, and just went straight back to bed again
