With ya pal.

I used to love following England (I know there's been previous threads on this, so I won't go on further).

So SDT is so much more important to me now and these breaks are a pain in the arse

Capello does my head-in, useless twitt, might aswell have Colnel Gadaffi as manager.

I usually go to the England matches, but I refuse to go anymore, £45 for that crap, they r having a laugh.

Annoys me somewhat too but if it weren't for international breaks wouldnt the season be shorter by about 6 weeks per season, unless the leagues were re adjusted to have more teams in them.

Thankfully my team West Ham were relegated so 8 extra games for us!

I very rarely bother to watch England play now unless it is a game of some importance.

I agree it is very frustrating from a ff point of view to have so many breaks. Very annoying as well when one of your players gets crocked after playing a meaningless friendly.

I'm quite lucky in that an FX dealer we use in the city has 4 seats in the Bobby Moore Suite. I get to go a couple of times a year - absolutely awesome seats in the stand, about six rows behing where the subs sit and right on the halfway line. The food and drink is free too

You know what? I think you might be on to something..

So.. sack Capello (and not before time) and use some of the money saved (circa £6 million plus) to buy an Ouija board..

We could have Clough, Paisley AND Gadaffi! I draw the line at Elvis, though..

Internationals always used to be Wednesday night. There was no interruption to the domestic season.

How I long for those days to return.

Always?

Must have taken an age to complete tournament qualification.

So club game Saturday, meet up with compatriots on the Monday, play Wednesday, fly home Thursday? Some how that doesn't tally up.

That was in the days when there was a single Russia, Yugoslavia etc

These days there are so many countries meaning an expanded qualifying group and more games
Therefore, there's no option but to have International breaks

By the way, I also hate them

All this effing political correctnes is also doing my head in.I think the FA should print up shirts with the English red Rose as a substitute .Show what it means to be from this once great Nation. If ever there was a time for Footballers to stand up and grow a pair of balls this is it !
(and I'm Welsh !)

It's a sorry state of affairs but I have lost all interest in watching England. I would be quite happy if they did away with international football.

1960 9.6 games per year (i.e. 96 games in the decade)
1970 9.9
1980 11.6
1990 10.8
2000 11.7

So figures are obviously skewed a bit by tournaments and how well England progress (or not);

But over the last 50 years, theres only a difference of two games per year… so i dont think we're playing massively more than previous seasons.

Dont quite understand all the "hate England" comments. Personally, I'm ambivalent towards them (football wise).
I'll watch them (qualifiers), but certainly dont go out of my way to do so. Am i distraught if England dont get a good result? Not particularly. Do I want England to win though? Most definitely.

Scott Parker Man of the Match LMFAO!!

Physically weak, spent half the time on the floor, gave the ball away several times.

I would have given it to Lescott, was pretty solid all night.

Who would u guys have awarded it to?

Probably Lescott.

Jones played well out of position.
