Arsenal's Andre Santos out this weekend with an ankle injury (and if I may dip into gossip territory "BBC Sport understands Santos may be on the sidelines for more than just the Everton game").

During the match against Swansea on Saturday 10 December, Goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer injured his neck.

Following an assessment by a specialist consultant on Tuesday evening, the Club can confirm that he has sustained a compression injury to his thoracic spine and that he will be unavailable for 4 to 6 weeks, and is expected to return to play towards the end of January.

The Club has exercised a clause in the loan contract of David Stockdale, and he has been recalled from Ipswich Town to join the squad.

Alex Song collected fifth caution at Man City on Sunday and will miss League match at Aston Villa on Wed 21st.

Arsene Wenger responded on Johan Djourou's injury: "It is a groin problem. Usually that is 21 days."

Dalglish still very non commital over Gerrard return, but not in the squad for Wigan - may or may not return over the festive period (I suspect it'll be a No)

http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-n ... d-update-1

Asked if Gerrard would feature at any point over the festive period, Dalglish added: "It remains to be seen, but we won't be making any comments on it."

Are you sure (evidence?) it won't carry over to the next game?
