It was showing -5 in the car (never sure how reliable it is). Bloody cold, I know that much!

Filled my water bottle Saturday night and put it on the bike ready for Sunday morning's ride. Froze solid overnight but didn't realise until I'd done about 10 miles - had to get the cafe to put it in some hot water to thaw it out (while I was thawing my toes out)

Lovely morning here in South West Scotland, no frost and I've just done a bit of tidying up in the garden in my shirt sleeves. :D

And before anyone says something, I did have the whole shirt on and not just the sleeves. :D

I didn't think it was particularly cold this morning, bloody frosty though. Bucket of warm water over the car, jobs a good'un...off I go.

Nice and sunny beautiful day now....frost has gone.

I assume the cold in the Alps is much like it is in Finland, a dry, crisp, fresh cold, It's the damp in the air in the UK that gets to you. -25/-30 in Finland was easier to tolerate than even -1 is in the UK.

Absolutely! When I was in Austria it was -20 most nights during the winter. It seemed perfectly tolerable though! I struggled at 6am this morning

Was about -2 or -3 this morning. I can tell by how frosty my car gets! It is under cover and doesn't get a frosted windscreen til -3 or -4. Was just the back windscreen this morning.

Tis a gorgeous day now.

Was a tad chilly out cycling tonight. Lake was freezing over. Think my feet are just about defrosted now.

Chilly again this morning, and again blue skies. Could do with a foot of snow, so don't have to go to work.
