It is often much easier to offer an opinion on a RMT thread if we can see a screenshot of that team, rather than a list of names. So, if you want our help, why not help us to help you? 8-)

How To Post a Screenshot of Your Team

I expect some computers are configured differently, but this works for me:

Method 1
1) Log onto your team.
2) Take a screenshot (PrintScreenSysRq on my keyboard).
3) Open 'Paint' (via 'All Programs -> Accessories -> Paint), click on 'Edit', then 'Paste'. This should bring up the last screenshot you took.
4) Use 'Paint' to crop the screenshot down to just your team, then 'save' it as a jpeg file.

5) Now open a web browser page and visit a free file hosting site. There are several available. Links are provided to a few below - or see Method 2 below.
6) Follow that site's instructions for hosting your jpeg file.
7) Copy the appropriate url thus provided for use on a forum (leave this page open in case you need to return to it!).

8) Log on to FISO in a new window and navigate to your post where you wish to add the screenshot (or any picture you choose to have hosted).
9) Paste the url where you want it.
10) Click on 'Preview' to ensure you have things right! (If not, return to your hosting site browser page and try a different Forum url).

And that, (I think!) is that!

A few free file hosting sites:
ImageShack
xs.to
Photobucket

Method 2
First, follow steps 1 to 4 above.
5) Start your own RMT thread (or continue your old one!) and click on 'Post Reply'.
Scroll down to Filename (just below the Submit button) and click on Browse.
6) Navigate to your saved jpeg and enter it (click on it, then click Open).
7) Click on Add The File.
8) You should now see your jpeg immediately below your post, listed in a new box - 'Attachments'. Put the cursor on your post where you want to display your team and click on Place Inline.

And that should be that! You can check all is well by 'Previewing' your post.

At least I'd know that the threat would appear as a fantastically designed graphic, coming from a mac and all. Oh and it definitely wouldn't have a virus.

it's the rectangle box with dashed lines , top right I think. called "select"

just click at the top left extent of what you want to keep then drag down to the bottom right.

Click on the bottom right hand corner of the white area and move the rectangle up to the corner of your green pitch.

Command + Shift + 4 gives you crosshairs (3 grabs the entire screen) from which you can select what you want to grab. Just upload the .png file into photobucket and you're done.

An even easier way of doing this is to use the Attachment facility built into the FISO site.

Do your screenshot, attach it to your post from your PC/Mac and then place it 'inline'. This saves you having to host the image elsewhere on the interweb.

Much simpler. :D

The game does it automatically - just remove one of your MF and replace him with a forward from your bench :)

Sorry if I'm teaching you to suck eggs but are you actually removing the bit you've cropped out?

Select the crop area
Edit > Cut (Ctrl-X)
File > New (Ctrl-N)
Clicking No when it asks to save
Edit > Paste Ctrl-V).

Save that image anywhere you like and browse to that.

If I'm on the wrong track let me know.

Follow DrBunker's instructions, but sometimes if the area you have cut and pasted isn't big enough to cover the white background, you will be left with it and unable to resize. To prevent this resize the white background to something small before you do the paste.

Have tried without much success to post a screen shot as described. I have no problems uploading the image but am having difficulty attaching it to the post. How long should this take? I have left it fo an hour or so but still no attachment!! I realise this post is ancient history to you but if you wouldn't mind recapping for the newbie

It shouldn't take more that a few seconds depending on the size of the file and your internet connection. Just make sure that you keep within the set size limits and use the correct file format.

For any mac users that actually want to know:

shift + command + 4

ensnare desired area and a shot of that area will be saved to your desktop.

upload or attached as desired.

When saving your image, make sure to change the file type to jpg or png.

You might be saving it as bmp, which could be huge and take a long time to upload.

Depending on how much of an issue this is for you (not much I would guess now that the RMT period is nearly over) you could report the problem here.
