This time last year, there was a certain player (who is still playing in the premiership this year) who must have been possibly the most mentioned player on here pre-season,& yet I don't think I have barely seen him mentioned once this year...any guesses?

Yeah true, but who's to say that one of the players who we all are planning on picking this year won't be just as big of a flop

he had rave reviews in his last friendly for Villa, then went off with a minor injury I heard. If he could stay fit and get a run he could be a huge surprise package but I took that risk once i won't be trying it again. I would prefer to plump for a fit player who will start now.

Who are we all planning on picking? I doubt there is as much interest in any player this year compared to Joe Cole last year. I can't see anyone being as big a disappointment as Joe Cole was a year ago.

Theres only one player that has been talked as a shoe-in and he's unlikely to be a flop.

Players such as Hart,Huth,Kompany,Zamora,Suarez have been mentioned by a good percentage of people & they will certainly be in a lot of my teams, but who's to say that at least 1 of them won't do very poorly

It crossed my mind that if hart got injured Man city's defence would be nowhere near as sound. they have sold given as well (an able backup), if that happens at least half the teams in the competition will be chomping at the bit to swap him out at the next transfer window. yes there are 5 windows but still could have a significant influence on the game.
