How do we all plan for the 2011/2012 seasom?

Do we pore over every single stat from the past season in the hope of picking a winning team?

Carry out copius research in new CK's entering the Prem?

Make note of every single friendly and formations used in said matches?

How does everyone plan for the 2011/2012 season or do you leave it to the last minute like myself :D

Firstly I take absolutely no notice of pre-season friendlies as they are of no use ff wise whatsoever as these are meant for fitness purposes only. I'll pick my team(s) about a week before kick off. 8-). This coming season will be good as the Euro's follow the conclusion next year.

in theory... i'm mindful of play-offs and goal scorers.. so Swansea have got promo.. this and Scott Sinclair getting a hatrick... so is he a 10 goal per season bloke.. or 10 goals then disappear... the friendlies might lead to injuries.... looking at transfers.. managers..

As a rule I pick 2 players from each of the so called top 4 teams and then any 3 to fit the budget that I think will score me the most points with the funds I have left over from my solid 8 - sounds simple

in my works mini league i always go for players in Europe .

and i have had 2 wins and a second in the last three seasons .

nothing worse than having games on a Thursday and having no players to cheer on .

Depends which game you play. In many it is best NOT to be in Europe. Less rotation in games that do count.

Starting with little risk takers

In my opinion having a defence that keeps clean sheets is key, so really your're looking at the top 6 to provide a majority of your defence (Bale, Ivanovic), maybe with a middle order but with goals (Dunne or Ridgewell) in them to make the numbers up. Defensive enablers are difficult to pick early season.

The enablers have to come from midfield to start (Albrighton), along with a bit hitter (Lampard or VDV) and maybe a pen taker (Adam).

Up front regular goal scorers (Bent or Tevez), cost permitting. Again enablers are less easy to pick early season.(Odemwingie)

Obviousluy those in brackets are from last seasons picks

Similar to this, however it usually results in a GW2 wildcard

for me not really in detail strategy planning but have to read some of the blog eg (FFS) of their review & recommendation of players ..... just a guidance !! choice of selection base on your gut feeling and of course also LUCK as well too

i think not necessary to invested ALL those expensive players doesn't matter which position and must ensure you can rotate among them easily base on their GW fixtures and if necessary to have fund on hand for later transfer, don't used up all in the earlier of the season

cheers.
