Well here I go ready for another season. Used to be a Times player then moved to the telegraph...but consistant losing out on the big prize meant I turned to a free game...why should I pay to lose?

So why does it all go wrong? As a 'mature' final year undergraduate in philosophy and psychology ( with ambitions for a PhD) I intend this season to find out 'How a season goes wrong'

It seems impatience is already a factor...why hasn't the game started?.... I'm already on a hair trigger and the game hasn't got its pants off!

hey ho

I haven't looked seriously at the players lists yet, pre-season has only just started, WC players are still on holiday, potentially loads of transfers ahead of the new season to chuck all your current thoughts on their heads. Just relax and let the World rotate a few more times 8-)

I don't want to hijack this thread,but I'm sure I've seen your avatar before - in the FPL forum ?

If so,didn't you enjoy playing FPL ? if I'm mistaken and you and your avatar have never ventured that way before,get over there right away,get yourself an FPL team(for free)and put your name down to play the 5AS sidegame this season -great fun.

p.s you'll need to get yourself an FPL button like mine,by going to the bottom of your profile page (above left) and entering your id where shown,as well as entering your details on the WhoRU thread,though it's not called quite that,and the joining procedure may prove an interesting challenge.

Well many bottles later..... after setting up teams it seemed a shame not to have a twiddle with it.

I seem to have got my head around the algebraic scoring system and it appears I've ended up with one not so bad team that has after a couple of weeks of knocking has bashed its way into the top 1000 (994th) 8-)

I made some early 25 point transfers and the team has gradually made its way up. I've made many a decision whilst bodily containing a scoop or two too many.... but I reckon I've now found a lucky wine glass!

I never been in a better position this early, pulled the babe, coats on and taking her back to my gaff.

So what could possibly go wrong?

Only time will tell

<sluuurrrppp>
