Just wondered if anyone knows of any decent U.K hosting companies for running a Wordpress.org blog

I've done some research but every site I go on there is so much stuff about how useless they all are and thought there might be someone on here who uses a hosting company and has no problems with them.

I'm only starting small so not looking for an elaborate package just one to get me up and running and then expand from there.

Any help would be appreciated.

I've had a WordPress blog hosted on 1and1.co.uk for a few years and haven't had any issues that I can remember. I also work on another site hosted at 1and1.com with a similar experience.

Don't know too much about alternatives but I'm happy with the service I get and the costs are very low.

Any particular reason it needs to be U.K. based StarMan? I've used Bluehost for a few years and always had excellent support (via phone or email) if needed. They are also on Wordpress lists of recommended sites to use. Sorry I can't advise any UK ones.

Thanks for the replies guys. The reason I was asking about U.K hosting was a simple lack of knowledge about hosting a blog or website before and making the assumption of U.K resident = U.K hosting.

After further research I discovered that it doesn't matter where it's hosted, your main attention should be the quality of hosting in terms of features and support.

I've narrowed it down to 2 candidates Blue host that you reccomended Black Dogs and HostGator and by the feedback on the Warrior forum I can't go wrong with either.
