Anybody else watch this last night. Amazing to watch & quite odd in places, had to laugh as the vultures stick there heads up the Hippos arse for their dinner :shock: & the one Lion, who came along licked the Hippo's Cock and wandered off completely disinterested.

Worth a watch on Channel 4's On Demand service if anyone missed it. I was quite surprised just how fearless Hyena's are

Missed it, will watch later.

Seems similar to the 'elephant' show they did 2-3 months ago.

Hyena comes along to the dead elephant, thinks "where do I start on this", and dives straight up it's arse. :lol:

Did they show the maggots?

Well if there's a lion licking a dead hippo's cock, how can you not watch it?

The flies were the first ones in, but they didn't really go back and look at the maggots - not sure whether they just got eaten as there really wasn't much left after 4 or 5 days.

Only just seen this thread. Watched the show at the time;

Thought it was a MASSIVE disappointment, the strung out not very much action into a 1h 50 show that amounted to not very much.

Wow look, there's elephants walking past our camera! You're on a well known route, next to a well used watering hole, in Africa. Is it really that astounding?

Sticking microchips on bugs and then finding that they may or may not be 50-100 meters away from the carcass told us what?

Then all the excitement over the cameras failing filled 5/6 mins. Yep thanks.

All in all, disappointed.

Highlights were the hyena and croc going nose to nose. Vulture going up the 'arris was funniest moment.
