Totally puzzled over this comp

The object is to get the highest possible score, as per my earlier post.

As everyone this week makes the cut, your teams should be full of players Atwal, Park, Otto etc who are likely to come last and not D Johnson, Kuchar, Mahan, Kaymer etc. who might do well.

Am I totally misunderstanding how you play this??

I see Megadyl has selected KT Kim. I don't think he's a member of the European or PGA Tour.

Yup,

Kim will need to be changed or score zero points - only players registered with european or PGA tours count.

and

For Man #1 fan - you spotted one of the twists and you are correct in terms of highest score wins therefore you are looking for the bottom 3 players from each of the Euro and PGA tours.
Not actually as easy as you would think

Also, dont forget - withdrawls / retirements only score the points they gained prior to the withdrawl / retirement
