Son works with one of the well known charities and does lot of volunteer work. He had been asked to do the music for a party for people with learning difficulties, went with him last night to do it. Music we had, we thought not really suitable, but pub allowed us to use there internet and youtube is your friend and we used songs requested by those at party and it went really well they all loved music played. Problem have is cant remember the songs and as likely to be asked again and next time maybe no internet, any help with song list would be wonderful. Ones can remember.

Birdy song
YMCA
I'm the music man

and thats about all can remember (not my sort of music) its the type that dancers do the actions to the song, sort of line dance thing.
Do hope some kind posters can help

It's not Summer Nights you want for this it's the Grease megamix.

Brings up bad memories, these sort of records is one of the reasons I gave up DJ'ing many years ago, was getting far too many weddings and parties.

Some others:-

Nellie the elephant - The Toy Dolls
If you are going for the Can Can then Bad manners version is as good as any other.

There's a formation dancing track which used to go down really well whenever it was played locally, but it could just be locally, it was never a hit. Used to (and still does) fill the floor every time around here. Its' called Love won't be Denied by Len Boone. The instrumental side was the better of the two.

Now just got to get the rest, was not sure what expect when helped son (though should have as wife works with people with difficulties) but to see the pleasure that they got from the music was very humbling and makes you think about your own moans about life again thanks very much.
