Remember Mignolet is still only 4.3, and you have the benefit of being able to rotate home games with Krul if you pair them.

Yeah he's one I've been thinking of and MON generally tightens up his teams when he takes over.

Thanks for the reminder though, he's certainly one I'm considering.

I'm using WC next Tuesday, but could always bring Mig in for this GW and start him vs Norwich.

If Craig Gordon gets fit - I read he is training again - MO'N might give him a chance. Reason for thinking this is, MO'N's time managing The Hoops overlapped substantially with the period when Gordon broke through into the First XI at Tynecastle, during which period he was just brilliant... so good, in fact, that Sunderland forked out what they did for his services. So MO'N really might want to see if Gordon can still do what he saw him do then. On the bright side fantasy-wise, if Gordon took over as first pick keeper, he'd be a straight swap (same price) for Mig.

The situation at Sunderland in goals is a hard one. Mignolet has done fairly well and Gordon has been out quite a while. It's probably similar to Begovic/Sorensen when there isn't a distinguished #1

Update on the prices rise...

With most people's midfield filled with Dempsey Silva Bale Sess, it's hard to shoehorn other players in when people have RVP and others already on price rises.

Who do people think has run out of steam? I don't like things going to the wire but given that Zamora, Keane or Welbeck are going to take a few days longer to rise, are RTaylor or SMorison just as likely to get the 0.2m than them? The last minute rush will see the transfers in to those first three, but the second two have had a rise and on their way to the next one. I don't want to miss out on the 0.2's that I can pass on and I'm sure other people feel the same.

I guess another one would be... is Valencia likely to get another rise before McClean? I'm not a fan of McClean but for people looking to free up space for McClean another rise on Valencia might also see them pick up McClean's rise.

I'd guess the whole market is somewhat stalled, because unless you have an active wild-card there's tonight's LCSF and the week-end's FACup matches in the way of a sure-thing transfer if the team in question is involved...

Re. the trio, if you're a 'trading' owner of S Morison, you're hoping SM can get up there before one of the other three does to offer a switch for a net +0.4 gain in trading. I'm hopeful that, given the numbers, it is possible. SM had 267nti @ last ctc update, having risen on 24th.

this.

Arseshavin, i posted on the previous page about projected double risers, not sure if you caught it? i think you might be a little optimistic with your estimates for profits before the gameweek starts, as the market will slow, and tuesday will have the most activity (rather than friday and saturday as per a usual gameweek, where you can sell friday's risers). many of your potential risers will roll over to next week. I would estimate that any player that hasn't risen already this week will not get a double. out of those that have, dempsey, sessegnon, valencia and perhaps bale will go up again (pretty sure silva won't), which is only useful if you don't want to keep them.

If i were you i'd just worry about getting in players you want, rather than looking for profits that probably won't materialise. sorry to sound like a doom-merchant!

You've got one more GW after this one.

Sorry mate, I missed your post. I'm hopeful that there will be a few on the Sunday too, given that the casual players tend to only make transfers when reminded by fellow workers. I think you'll also get a fair few coming in Friday and Saturday as the amount of people that don't pay attention to dates is quite staggering.

With Morisson, I guess his holders are hoping he can reach about 40% before the weekend which I think is unlikely.

I'm still hopeful with Silva. He's not that far behind the rates of Valencia and Dempsey and has the advantage of having a rise already in the bag so there isn't going to be any wasted NTIs that the likes of Keane and Zamora might see.

i think you'll struggle with silva purely because of both high ownership and high price - kneejerks tend to slow down later in the week when people start to consider fixtures too, rather than just how they scored at the weekend. although having said that, nani's yellow flag will definitely aid any chance of it happening!

are you not keeping silva in your team then?

I am mate, I just want a rival to suffer as he's smug that I've wildcarded this week and he's bringing in Silva with his wildcard next week.

:D

These WC's do suck as you see the same teams now all over the place and probably most of the teams wildcarding now will have the same midfield (Silva, Bale, Dempsey, Valencia, and Sessegnon).. I won't take part of it and although I have brought in the last three now as well (already had Silva and Bale for ages), I will only take the profit gained from the last two and get rid before the GW starts in order to have a different team than the majority of active wildcarders.

"These WC's do suck" - I agree wholeheartedly. It was so much better when we had 1 WC, and otherwise it needed to be points hits. I'm not sure if its worse this year as we have effectively have 3 WCs, or maybe its also because we have not had to contend with rescheduling and double gameweeks, but there are now SO many boilerplate teams out there. You can hardly make up a sizeable points deficit by having a couple of POD defenders! This "feature" of FPL alone (this is not a website rant) is really turning me off this game. :(

Dzeko, Keane, Welbeck and Zamora no chance for a 0.2 rise now.

It's not been a disappointing week for rises, but it's not been great as most would have used their free transfer on Sess or Dempsey.
