Silva was the best player on the park yesterday, as always. Nasri was good so don't begrudge him a couple of bonus, but Lescott? It's basically for the goal, and in case FPL haven't noticed, they already gave him 6 bleedin' points for that!

More than half way through the season and people still think that bonus points are awarded based on who were the best players?

Fiso is not a place for discussing how the bonus points are distributed, it's a place for moaning about who they've been distributed to!

Again the new bonus point system is shown up as being a joke. In most of the paper ratings, lescott got 6/10 with bale and silva getting 08/10. His goal was also a scrambly shit goal and he was part of a defence that conceded 2 goals. What is even more astonishing is that his ppi score was considerably more than bale and silva. I just cant fathom it at all. Winds the shite out of me.

I wonder if lescott would still have got 3 if cheating soap balotelli hadnt have got that pen and the game was drawn. You wouldnt have thought that the 3rd goal would have any bearing on lescotts contribution but somehow i think it has as it meant he was on the winning side. If only defoe had converted that chance. Bale would have got 3 bp's then plus an assist. Not his fault that defoe couldnt convert it.

It's gameweek 22! We still can't be shocked by the way these points are allocated. Forget Sky Man Of The Match or what The Guardian says, we know to some extent how the points are awarded now.

Bale scored, but thinking he was involved and outstanding generally has nothing to do with it if he doesn't tick the right boxes. Boxes he did tick were that he was on the losing side, there were 4 other scorers and he actually wasn't that involved as City managed often to shadow him.

Which brings me to Bellamy, he too was on the loosing side and scored. Maybe he had more possession and shots on target than Bale. I saw the Bolton game, and I can't think of any Liverpool players who deserved to be even mentioned let alone receive bonus points. Fair to say those who have Bellamy may feel they have somehow cheated.

And Silva, his possession stats certainly play a part, but how many times has he not been given the 3 bonus points when deserved regardless of his goals or assists? Again here he was probably man of the match.

Don't get me wrong, the new system annoys me as much as most, but the bonus points mean very little to me now, I certainly can't "blame" them for the poor season I am having.

I'm all for a little moan about how disappointing some awards can be, but it's time to get real and accept how the bonus points are ACTUALLY awarded, and forget about how one WANTS them to be awarded.

I just wish they'd show the weighting of the points in the index, but I guess they know it would lead to even more angry emails from managers wanting to contest every single action in every single match.

based on the BPs for Lescott, Ben Arfa and Bellamy and looking at some of the stats from the games then:

Goalscorers heavily awarded with EAI points, followed by Shots on Goal. Bellamy had 4 shots on goal; whilst Ben Arfa had 2 shots on goal (which was 1 more than Murphy and therefore got the other BPs)
