hear me out though

it's not that bad at all you know i'd caught little snippets and was pleasantly surprised, so i got hold of Series One and watched it

yes, it's as cheesy as it comes - but the thing is, it knows it's cheesy - which kinda makes it alright

it's also a lot saucier than you'd imagine. teacher catches girl trying to throw, and girl says she's not bullimic (sp) as she can't chuck up - she hasn't got the gag reflex

teacher "well, you've be thankful for that later on in life"

but the best character - Sue Sylvester - the track suited cheerleading coach who despises the Glee club and makes it her mission to bring it down. her character has the blunt, cutting, honest comments of Simon Cowell combined with the ego-maniacal yet delusional mindset of David Brent

from abusing the hell out of the Glee club teacher Schu's hair, to throwing students against walls as she storms off in a huff - she's worth the entrance money alone

c'mon - admit it, there are others out there who watch it.....

Sue Sylvester Test: Watch this and see if anything makes you laugh:

My wife loves this. She's got the first series on DVD, nearly all the CDs, which always seem to be on when I get into the car. I do get fed up with it at times, but you're right, Sue Sylvester does come up with the odd cracking one-liner. Not sure what clip you've put there as I can't view it at work, but my favourite was when she told Will she'd had a face lift, and at the same time had her tear ducts removed - wasn't using them.

yeah i remember that line not sure if i missed it in the above video or not - its a collection of pretty much her best from Series 1

I usually record it so I can fast forward the ballads. The dialogue is excellent though, really dry humour - definitely not the typical cheesy American crap that I thought it would be before I'd seen it.

One of the funniest things that has been on for a few years, and sue is possibly the best character for many a year.

Loved the episode in series 1 where they all took a load of uppers and went double speed!

Brittany has stolen series 2 though, she is like the cheerleader version of Trigger
