I think we should have a FISO Blood drive, see how much as Community we can generate

To find your nearest/next blood donation venue/date use this link

http://www.blood.co.uk/

I used to attend regularly but haven't been for a few years and feel it is something I should get back into, with a commitment made on here I should then follow up and actually go and do it. I next plan to attend on 27th September, I think you are limited to 3 donations per year. So, come on FISO lets keep a running total

Copy and paste the following template filling in your details each time you donate. Lets see how long it takes to get to 100 pints donated.

FISO Name - blood group - date donation made
1.

thanks for the nudge.

I have given a number of times and have earnt my "blue" card. (I think that's given when someone has donated between 5 and 10 times.

I vow to donate again as soon as I know where the next one is.

Only just seen this thread, but I do try and give blood at least a couple of times a year. Been 11 times now, which is not bad at the age of 26.

Come on FISO, get donating

I am blocked from further donations for medical reasons...I clocked up 19 pints of common O+ donated. I got a bronze lapel badge for number 10 (silver 25, gold 50).

The wife and I go twice a year even though we both work full time and have to take the kids with us. The only excuse for not giving if you're able to is fear and I've seen people shitting themselves but still go through with it. If you've got a smart phone you can just do what you'd usually do if having a lesuirely poo. ;) Oh, and you get a free biscuit (Clubs where I go 8-) )

Already on a bronze card :D

But starting a debate, should we not be compensated fo donating blood considering that the Government feels free to charge us fo everything else in this country.
