Is this the clever thing to do? I can take out Enrique and Jones and replace with Rangel and Gerrard. Rangel is very similar to Enrique on points overall and points per game so i don't have a problem with this especially as it allows an upgrade to Gerrard. Thing is although this is a positive move points per game wise does this actually make sense in the long run, will he have enough appearances to score the points, if so he could be massive or shall i be looking else where ie Adebayor. I saw him against Everton, he was a menace and on another day could have scored a hat trick. His bandwagon is in full flow for good reason. Which ever i do it will be better than keeping Jones who is now in defence (without Vidic too) rather than CM where his points were good.

I'm doing well in my mini league but i need to gain on the leader who is limited with transfers. On the whole i'd like my transfers to be available for injuries but a tweek is needed i feel.

Any pearls of wisdom will be gratefully received!

Ultimately the decision is yours but re. Adebayor, alot of managers are looking to work him out from their teams not bring him in. I can't remember the last time he scored but he flatters to deceive and is quite frustrating.

Gerrard is Gerrard and capable of big points on his day. If he's over the injury problems then he is a welcome addition to any team. But I do not like Enrique to Rangel at all. Swansea have suprised some with their tightness at the back but the majority of clean sheets have come at home. Their next few fixtures are:

ARS (H)
SUN (A)
BOL (A)
CHE (H)
WBA (A)
NOR (H)
STO (A)

I don't see too many clean sheet points there. Enrique is solid and is season long IMO. Maybe Jones out after the Bolton game I can live with seeing as Man U's fixtures after are ARS (A), LIV (A), STO (H), CHE (A), LIV (H) but Jones is arguably season long as well.

Is there no one else who could be sacrificed if you must get Gerrard in?

Would be handy to know the full team as there might be some ideas/options that Fiso'ers might be able to offer that you hadn't really thought about.

When I saw the title of the thread I thought it was a question of whether to replace Ade with Gerrard which is actually something that I am currently considering....

Thanks for your input, some good points there. As advice is difficult without knowing my full team i am happy to post.

Hart
Enrique Walker Jones Richards
Silva Valencia Bale Mata
RVP Aguero

0.6m in the bank.

On the whole i'm happy with my team so maybe i should sit on this for a bit. The thing that is bugging me is this team is not making any ground and that's why i feel like a tweak!

With Man Us up coming fixtures Jones will be my sacrificial lamb. Wondering if Ben Arfa could be clever, he's 0.3m cheaper, classed as a MD and will gets starts now Demba Ba is at the Africa Nation Cup. With the 0.6m in the bank i could upgrade a MD. There are quite a few options available. I've been thinking about this a lot you may have already guessed!

Try P Jones (3.7m) to Dempsey (4.1m) and go 3-5-2 if you insist on sacrificing P Jones.

Leaves 0.2m in the bank.

You may want to consider downgrading Hart now that Man CIty are out of the Cup and free up some additional funds.
