And breathe.

Gameweek 23 only half way completed with no bonuses allocated to date but have you considered your transfers yet for GW24? Man City and Arsenal look to have favourable fixtures whilst Chelsea host United and Liverpool host Spurs.

Looking at Berbs  Dzeko.

Would love to do Fletcher  Ba but i'm 0.1 short

Will probably just leave it to roll over and give Cahill another chance to start before I give him the flick!

99% likely to be mine as well.

I also have another spare, but might keep it.

I'm thinking none. Previous inkling was to ship BAE, but with sticky fixtures all over the place for the better sides, I'm more inclined to just bench him for a few weeks than try to find a replacement with decent scoring potential.

This!

Might do it tonight as there is a chance that Sturridge will drop tonight.

I have another freebie and with this i will be doing Richards  Kompany.

Likewise, got 2 frees so I will probably drop BAE for a cheaper alternative, maybe Bo the swinga :?

Why? I really can't see why....but perhaps I should look a little bit harder

If only this game allowed me to give you that 0.1 (with interest of course  )

On the face of it, i agree it seems like a strange one....but I really feel Kompany is worth the £0.1M extra outlay. Guaranteed 90 mins, a better threat at set pieces, and with no real replacement waiting in the wings in event of rotation...

I kept the extra cash back from my WC especially for this move when Kompany became available again.

I do have an issue in the shape of Wes Brown to address, but there is no rush for him as he would have been on my bench anyway this week, he won't drop before Saturday i dont think, and i'm only going to bring in a Swansea defender anyway (who have a tricky away tie at West Brom).

Perhaps they should change the game next year to allow you to go into crippling debt, to make it more realistic :)

+1

Although I will monitor fall of Sturridge's price, I would really like to wait till GW deadline to see in what shape Ba is...

Cahill -> Clichy

I'll bring Cahill back if he gets in the team. Luiz is a terrible defender so I can see it being soon.

Consider this;
> Newcastle just lost to Brighton despite playing their first squad.
> Newcastle last EPL game ended with a 5-2 defeat to Fulham.
> Williamson who scored the (own) goal is not going to be very confident.
> Ba just returned from a non-too brilliant tour...
> Cabaye - Newcastle's game engine is now banned for 3 games
> Tiote is still in Africa
> Competition from Papiss Cisse for the striker role?

What's the rush to bring Ba in?

Totally agree, I've pencilled him in for GW26, will give him a couple of weeks to see how he gets on.

The only thing that Kompany has on Richards is reliability fitness-wise IMO. Richards is a better attacking threat, both from open play and set pieces (the goals scored contradicts this point but when I watch City I see Richards doing more from set pieces than Kompany).

When Kompany was out, Richards captained the team so he's obviously pretty much a nailed-on starter when fit. The only problem is the fitness issues. Also, Richards is a bit cheaper and less people have him. My head says Kompany slightly but my heart says Richards.

Because no other nailed on starting striker is doing the business right now. Hope more than foresight for me.

i hate the idea of ba crippling my team again so sturridge  ba also. will probably reverse it down the track when the prices and fixtures make sense.

in addition, my vice-captain / differential /ace-in-the-hole / weakling / loser (vdv) someone. most likely valencia even though his fixtures are cack and i've not been that impressed with him last couple of games. not the best transfers i reckon, but i'm getting bored with the game as i'm doing rubbish (bad loser).

will do these tonight before likely price changes and can get excited about GBP 0.1 saved to spend as i please.

BTW,... this was a genuine question, not criticism...
I'm geared tp bring him in too, but was wondering about the timing. which I think atm is not right yet.

That why we're here, essentially to brainstorm.

For the record I too have RVP and Aguero and would never consider benching Ba
