Now i may be wrong but RVP could be popular on this one.......

Only the man of glass getting injured tonight would sway me from the obvious choice. Given the fixtures I might even captain him even if he did!

I dont think this is as obvious as people suggest.

RVP drew a blank tonight and is looking tired, possible rest and Aguero has a nice fixture and is a beast at coms.

Valencia will have the freedom of Stamford Bridge in Cole's absence.

If chelsea decided to play without a left back then yes but one would assume that cole will be replaced by someone.

Going for a differential this week:
Aguero (c)
Silva (v)

could be anyone from chelseas bench, but no one will stop antonio :)

btw because of the differential: Ba (C) Valencia (V)

My assumption is that AVB will play with Luiz at LB rather than Bosingwa in an attempt to reign him in. Hell he could even play Essien there as he played RB for part of the 09/10 season. As in form as Valencia may be I suspect that Essien could shut him down, might involve a broken leg and a red card but its possible :D

I've gone for the wildly controversial choice of RVP.

RVP but tempted by Aguero. Just got a feeling that Blackburn will be stubborn opponents and Arsenal's tedious predictability will play into their hands.

Valencia or Morison.

RVP is the obvious choice, and I'll likely get burned, but I'm taking a wee gamble this weekend.

Even though I advocate RVP every week, I'm having doubts this week purely because they're playing in the first game of the gameweek and I have an irrational dislike of having my captain play in that early game :?

This is the "who are you picking as captain" thread, not the "who do you think will score the most points" thread.

Please stay on topic.

Obviously i jest.

Im so bored of rvp cpt and i feel that i need to start doing different things to catch the leader in my money league so its either silva or ba for me.

I always think you should play solid in the first half of the season, then see where you are. If you're winning, just keep playing solid. If you need to make up ground, now is the time to start taking chances and making riskier decisions.

I never actually put that into practise though, as I've panicked by no later that GW4 every season

All aboard the agueroplane, he owes me some points and is too good to keep scoring 2 points. Big haul this weekend (I hope)

C and VC from the same match?
Let's hope it's not cancelled.

That's the most one-sided poll I can remember seeing - currently 81% for RVP!

Can't decide between RVP and Aguero. Currently going with the Argentine.

They dumbed the game down to full tardy. So if your vice does not play either, you are free to pick a new captain from your squad (after the boni is in place of course)

That can't be right or else you would c and vc two players who won't play then choose the highest scoring player at the end.
