Gerrard - marginally - then Arteta, then Petrov. Petrov represents the best value however

This just in: Gerrard broke his leg and Arteta quit football and decided to become an astronaut.

It seems that Arteta gets a lot of support for being in good form and Gerrard a slightly harder time for being in poorer form. Gerrard has 2 points less than Arteta yet has started 3 less games.

I'd go with Gerrard a clear distance ahead of Arteta, then another gap to Petrov, who is still technically a CK just now, and might (and of course, might not!) just be on a good run.

CK = Carlos Kickaball, basically refers to a foreign player who has not played in the EPL before. Is used to describe the big money imports who fail to deliver e.g. Shevchenko
