This is a pretty good film and well worth watching. I would watch it again if it was on the telly here, but it's hardly the greatest of all time or close. De Niro is very good, as he always was in those days, although I still think Mean Streets is his top performance and Scorcese's best film. If you ever see that Mean Streets is playing don't miss it. De Niro virtually leaps off the screen as Johnny Boy and Scorcese's use of music is stunning. It also raises the eternal question - What exactly is a mook?

I've just this minute Sky+'d both Once Upon... and the Deer Hunter. I can't remember Deer Hunter that well, but I think I'll watch it again. I'll be sure to look out for Mean Streets too.

Another great film...I wouldnt suggest that in a poll on films OUATIA would come out top, but to me personally its my favourite film of all time..like most things its a very subjective thing, but its got everything in my opinion....a true classic....and in my opinion again far and away the best gangster film ever made ....

My favourite film of all time is Silence Of The Lambs. Different gravy.

Goodfellas is way better!

Why does DeNero smile at the end of Once Upon A time?
