I've done some checking on the top 100 WDT prize winning positions over 7 weeks. What I was looking for was entrants in the top 100 who are not premium entrants, whose name appears more than once in the total list of free entrants.
I am able to tell who is a free or a premium entrant by the fact that 6 sequential ids in the overall list with the same player name, indicate a premium entrant
A name appearing in the top 100 who is a free entrant but whose name appears more than once in the overall list would indicate either
a) a coincidence, a common name
b) someone who had entered more than 1 free team
The difficulty is obvisouly deciding between the two, but there seem to be some clues
e.g.
Week 1 andy ford was in 62 position, there are 10 andy fords in the competition, it's a fairly common name, so probably ok, likewise James Reid in 81st position in week1. Common name so 24 teams for that name is not unreasonable
However in 21st place is paul egerton, this name has 8 free teams, not a very common name, also within the list of teams for that name is "4th team" . Not conclusive but maybe an indicator of a multi free teamer
Then in 98th place is Joe Cordwell, again not a very common name, he has 6 teams, 4 of which were entered in fairly quick succession, ids 66180,
66507, 66638 and 66939, again not conclusive proof but suspicious
This took me a few minutes to investigate, without any of the benefit of details about the emails used to enter accounts, ip addresses, time of WDT entry etc. You would expect the sun to have this information and yet are they checking?
