FS Record: Thereabouts but never quite getting there: 6th AOL comp 2009/10 season; Winner of SportsKnockout Pro League, 15th William Hill 2010/11
Transferred Gower out and J Evans back in again.
Gower not playing recently, J Evans should hopefully pick up some clean sheets.

Bringing in Phil Neville a fortnight ago didn't do much for Play It Again.

Another short-term transfer before Wigan meet Man C tonight:
    In - S Savic; Out - P Neville

Transfer no.4 of 17: non-playing I Klasnic to rejuvenated D Ngog (both Bolton)

Reason:
David Ngog is due to face old club for first time since his £4m summer move.
Liverpool, however, are on a run of ten successive wins against the Trotters.
But, on basis that a player tends to do something memorable against his former team ...

I might be tempted with Downing as Rodwell seems to have 50/50 next to his name permanently!

Chamberlain who is increasingly likely to get game time in for Gibbs who has been three weeks away from full training since Christmas.

Sagna who is now back in full training brought in for Bendtner who apart from not scoring is now out for some weeks.

Simpson out for Bridge, reducing my reliance on Newcastle's defence. Rodwell out for Young, as both seem to be constantly 50/50, I may as well have the better one!

Cisse in for Long. Probably a knee-jerk reaction, but Long has disappointed so far.

11 transfers remaining.

Fiso Freegans league at end of round seven (to Mon 6 Feb)

Chairman Brian is top of the charts for the second time in three weeks.
Meanwhile, the deputy chair posts the worst score in two successive rounds.

As the dust settles, Steve, with 128, still holds a 13-pt lead in the league.
Brian, Derren and David, the only other centurions, all move up one rung.
With 14 Premier League rounds to go, the rest of us already look like also-rans...

Another change done: Tim Cahill out, Jarvis in. Patience run out on Cahill and Toffees likely missing 2 of next 5 matchdays; Jarvis hopefully re-finding some form after goal last week.

Gonna be honest here... I thought I could pick up Assou-Ekotto for a steal in round 1 of the bidding as the least fashionable of Spurs regular defenders. Thought he should pick up a CS every 3-4 games or so, so worth a cheeky bid.

10 games later, 2 goals and 2 assists scored, just 4 conceded. 8-)

You've wasted your money, you could have got him for free. No doubt you paid in fiso spondas, or whatever currency Canarybet accepted before his demise. Will be interesting to see if Carlos is worth having.

Custom Cup side-contest may help maintain interest, especially among those in lower half of league:
http://www.fantasyleague.com/Pro/Divisi ... &groupid=3

So this will begin with the next round of Premier League matches, Sat 25 Feb.
Please post on thread by Tues 21 Feb if you wish to withdraw from KO contest.
Schedule, draw, etc will be arranged on Wed 22nd.

Some basic info provided by OFL games organiser in response to email this week:

Yes, free trial leagues are eligible to have a Custom Cup on their league.

If co-chairman clicks the Custom Cup button above your league table you will see a list of tick boxes. If all your teams are taking part, then leave all the boxes ticked. From there you will get to decide how many game weeks each cup round covers, and which weeks you want to use.

Some of the weeks like this current week are not selectable, because there are no league fixtures at all.

Depending on how many teams you have in your league, the earlier you start, the more flexibility you have in how long you can make each round and which weeks you can use. Please let me know if you have any problems or further questions when setting this up.

Downing IN - seems as though he has started to look like the player that Liverpool thought they were buying, instead of the rubbish performer who has failed to produce most of the season. Ben Arfa OUT. I thought that he'd do well once he was back from injury but he has failed to convince Pardew that he is prepared to work.

BTW the dropping of Young and his subsequent rapid "pick up" by Reds suggests brown envelopes to me. When is Steve buying Brian his drink?      Mind you I would have been the vulture myself if I hadn't already had two Man U's.

On a slightly less lighthearted note, that did seem to me to be a pretty dumb sale Brian or do you have a cunning plan? Perhaps a contact of Achilles at Carrington told you that he is injured?
