I've got hold of the information, and am just struggling with displaying it in something other than an alert box at the moment. I should have something on the beta script later today, so will post an update if I do. I'll also hopefully be grabbing the latest points too, to make it easier to see who is on what points before FPL towers run their updates on Sat/Sun/Mon nights.

Try the new beta. This should allow you to hover over a team's name on the league page to see their transfers and points.

Any feedback appreciated.

Excellent stuff razza, just tried it there :D
I like the inclusion of team value too, very good

The only thing id say, is there maybe a way to make the first line "Transfers (gameweek/total) - x/y" appear as a single line rather than overlapping onto a 2nd line? Just an aesthetic point really, but it would look a lil better like that IMO, not a big deal though.

I'll try it out when I get home. Many thanks.

One thing I would like is if on the Latest Points and Gameweek History team pages you could see the scores of the subs for that week rather than having to hover over the 0 under their shirt icon to see the pop-up.

Great stuff as usual Ralph. I don't know how you pulled it off but hovering on teams works brilliantly.

I also like the way you've tidied the team stats over to the right and that you've added a button for the captain/bench stats on the history page.

One hell of a can of worms you've opened up Ralph! I like the idea of this and I guess it shouldn't be too tricky compared with what you've already done...

Right, I like that. It's done and I'll upload that to beta sometime in the next day or so.

Just keep coming up with the ideas, and I'll see if I can implement them. So far my only restrictions are

1. Not removing the adverts
2. Not hammering the server much more than if doing the task manually

If anyone from FPL towers sees this I don't want them to be turned off by this script, and you never know it might give them some ideas.

Given the number of downloads for the script, I doubt it's hammering the servers yet.... That said, it is such an amazingly useful creation that I'm sure it will do, once everyone catches on.

A question though- How do I tell if my Razza rating (5796) is any good?

I have the following values for my team:

Team Razza Rating 4661
Squad Razza Rating 6026
Team RR!Injuries 4898
Squad RR!Injuries 6326

I don't follow my rating exclusively, it's more of a guide. But if I'm not sure between two players it will help me decide. I'm working on a slightly different rating to take more account of bonus points. I think players with more bonus points are less likely to be 'flash in the pan' type players, and more valuable long term.

When I say I'm worried about hammering the servers I'm talking about say at the end of the season when I have to get 38 pages (with no ads being served) everytime I click on a team's history page (this isn't the case anymore). The type of people who would download the script probably spend more time on the site anyway, and this could increase the traffic that each of those users generate substantially. I do agree though, that given the number of downloads I don't think there is anything to worry about right now

Superb. Works a treat.

I did notice that my windows were not resizing again. It could be my connection is a bit slower today but when I looked I noticed the conditional timeout value was 500 not 1500. I didn't look at the last version because that worked fine. Anyway, changed it to 1500 and it's working fine now. Just FYI and in case anyone else has any probs.

BTW Razza...
Thanks a bunch for the PM. Managed to get most from the one page and got everything I needed after some fairly intensive (and quite tedious) opening and closing of player info windows about 300 times (hence the above)... I'll let you know how I get on.

In the team pop-up info box, I can't see the advantage in displaying the current GW score, as that appears in the league display anyway. I managed to edit that out of the script myself :) With regards to beglee's request for the transfers info to appear on one line, maybe change "Gameweek" to "GW"? I couldn't work out how to do this, so I just changed the width of the pop-up from 15 to 20 "ems".

However, it's nice to have the pop-ups back - lets me spy more effectively on the opposition!

Also, I don't know which version this first appeared in, but thanks for putting a "My Team" option on the transfers page drop-down list - in the past, I had used the watchlist to put my team in, but as transfers were made, it just got out of date as I forgot to update the watchlist.

edit: somehow my tinkering has removed the "show extra team info" functionality :? Not sure how I did that, as I only edited stuff in the team pop-up section.

edit2: the extra team info still shows on the transfers page, but not on the latest points page.

hi any chance you could add the teams overall ranking in the popup in the mini leagues, instead of the gw score which is already shown?

You can add this in yourself if you want:

Firefox: Tools  Greasemonkey  Manage User Scripts, click on Razza's one and click "Edit". This will bring the script up in Notepad (or you can open it manually if you know where it is saved).

To keep a copy in case you make a mistake, save it immediately with an altered name, eg put "old" in front of the filename. If you really muck it up, you can just reinstall the script anyway.

Now, scroll down to the bit that says

xmlHttp.responseText.match(/Gameweek \d+ Total: \d+/) + "<br>" +
xmlHttp.responseText.match(/Team value: \d+\.\d/) + "<br>" +
xmlHttp.responseText.match(/In the bank: \d+\.\d/);

And delete the bolded line - this will remove the Gameweek info from the popup. Then, in place of that line (or below or between the other lines, depending on the order you want the info to appear in the popup, insert the following line:

Code:
xmlHttp.responseText.match(/Overall: \d+ \(\d+,\d+,\d+|Overall: \d+ \(\d+,\d+|Overall: \d+ \(\d+/) +")" + "<br>" +

Before saving you may want to scroll up a bit and find the line
Code:
"    top:2em; left:2em; width:15em;" +
and change the 15 to a 20 to fit the first line on one line.

Now just save the file, and load or refresh any FPL league page, and the changes should be there.

ps not knowing javascript, this took me bloody ages - the first try only gave the overall points, not the points and rank, and the second try gave the correct rank, but only if the player was in the top 999, because any commas in the rank made a right mess of it! There's probably a better way to get round the commas, but hey ho, it seems to work!

This works fine for people in the top million, but i've noticed that only the first four digits are shown for people ranked below a million.

Example: A person ranked 1,213,456 is shown as 1,213.

I'd try and fix it myself but I wouldn't have a clue what i'm doing.

It's a nice addition though.

Absolutely love this. Amazing razza!
I will definitely be using the razza rating and megaton formula in any upcoming transfers I do.
Would it be possible to add another filter in the drop down menu, an amalgamtion of the razza and megaton (the razmaton?). Perhaps simply just the razza rating multiplied by the megaton rating? I'm not sure if it would add much mathematically, but I'd like to think it might cancel out (or multiply :? ) any flaws in each system.

Updated the BETA script http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/34431 I've done most of what was suggested for the tooltip type window, but instead of removing score I've updated it to only appear for provisional scores (this was always what was going to happen) I also show how many players have played in that case.

Let me know how this goes and once the GW has finished if all looks good I'll update the full version.

I'm not sure about having another filter (Razmaton rating), but if a couple of people want it I'll add it.

Just a question: When are the totals on the league pages updated to reflect transfer costs? Is it as soon as the transfers are reset to zero or is it only when the end of the first days games are included in the total? I have a feeling it is the former but I can't remember.

If that's right then would it be possible/useful to get a real total (i.e. Points scored - Transfer costs + Provisional points)? Otherwise adding the provisional to the loast weeks total might be giving the wrong figure. As I say I can't remember how it actually works and this could be superfluous if I am wrong about how the stats are updated.

The other thing that might be nice is to also see if any subs are needed.

I guess actually calculating who would be the sub to fit in the formation and adjusting for their points scores might be a complex task but if it could just flag if any 1st team players hadn't played it would be easy for us to go and look deeper ourselves. Something like an extra line saying "Subs - Yes" or "Subs - No".

Bear in mind that I really don't know how difficult any of this is and this is just an observation - it all sounds difficult to me. Glad to have what there is already and, again, thanks.

I'm thinking of adding some more stats, but they make the transfer page a bit slow loading. What do people think about this?

1. Actim stats (only for the top 100 players) adds about 2 seconds to the load time
http://www.premierleague.com/page/Actim ... 06,00.html

2. TFF stats - adds about 6 or 7 seconds to load time
http://fantasyfootball.telegraph.co.uk/ ... x=0&code=N

I'm not sure they add much value, but I'm thinking of adding them as an option. Any other ideas (apart from this weeks boni, and boni(form))?

Cheers

Not sure if I'd sacrifice load time for the stats on offer but if it's something you want to see and it can be offered as an option then knock yerself out ;)
