Shouldn't be. I'm using Firefox 3.0.11 with Greasemonkey 0.8.20090123.1

I'm sure I had this problem the first time I tried it too. I uninstalled greasemonkey and tried again... for some reason it worked the 2nd time.

Never had greasemonkey properly installed, tried many times. It says it will be updated when firefox is restarted, but it never is.

Cliffard, first things first: do you have the greasemonkey icon on the status bar?

OK. Are you still on FF version 3 and a bit? If so have you considered upgrading to 3.5 or are you concerned about losing your extensions?

Alright, now I've downloaded and installed firefox 3.0.5, and now it actually says greasemonkey is incompatible.

Just to check, you say that you've upgraded to FF 3.0.5 but the screenshot says 3.5. Is the latter correct?

Did you install the GM addon from the official site? https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748

I downloaded 3.5 from http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/firefox/ (the one in the green box), and the newest version of greasemonkey from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748

A handfull. Thing is, all of these I've tried to get rid of, but they're still there after restarting mozilla. Anyone know how to get rid of all add-ons?

You should probably save your bookmarks, uninstall firefox, delete all the config folders, then reinstall. Sounds like something it corrupt if you're having problems removing extensions.

If you go into the bookmarks menu, then organise... there's an option to backup.

Once you have uninstalled, go to your documents and settings folder (not my documents), right click on that, then search.

Do two searches... "firefox" and "mozilla", then delete any folders it finds. That should clear out any old settings I think.

Glad to hear that it's sorted. Not only will you be able to use Razza's script now but it looks like you'll be able to install lots of other time-saving/wasting extensions. :)

Hi,

Is there any chance of adding Wyld's 'V Formula' to the list of drop downs?

Here it is, quoted from Wyld:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Y is for Yield - the number of points a player scores every minute he is on the pitch.

Y = Score / Minutes played

Both "Score" and "Minutes played" statistics are available directly at the FPL site.

Example:

Ronaldo:
Y = 82/745 = 0.11 ppm
Anelka:
Y = 86/1018 = 0.08 ppm

The Y for Yield formula is a simple way to compare players - here we can see that Ronaldo so far this season is scoring more points per minute that Anelka - but does not take account of the player's price.

V is for Value - the number of points a player scores every minute per million (M) pounds.

V = Y / Price

Ronaldo:
V = 0.11 / 14.6 = 0.0075 ppmpM
Anelka:
V = 0.08 / 10.0 = 0.0080 ppmpM

Here we can see that Anelka is currently better value for money than Ronaldo.

We can scale up the V figure so that the average V is 1.0. To find a suitable scale factor (145), I analyzed the scores of 212 players' scores over the 2007-08 season.

V145 = 145 * Y / Price

Ronaldo:
V145 = 145 * 0.11 / 14.6 = 1.09
Anelka:
V145 = 145 * 0.08 / 10.0 = 1.16

A player with a V greater than 1 is good value-for-money in FPL. A player with a V less than 1 is poor value-for-money.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

:arrow: Essentially it is: ((Points/Minutes Played)/Price)*145 :)

The script doesn't seem to work optimal this season. Two problems I've noticed are:
Can't crab captain and bench info...
and when holding the marker on any team in your private league, it doesn't show how many transfer this player has made. It only says 0.
Has anyone else got this problem or am I missing an update?

I'm thinking the script has to be updated with the newlook FPL site this year and that it might take some time to do this? Anyone know?
Anyway, I really love this script and it helped me a lot last season.
RESPECT to those who created it 8-)

The captain info doesn't work (always displays 0/0) but the bench info works ok.
The link to team history makes a right mess of the formatting of the fixtures in a H2H league. I crudely removed the link by deleting "History" from the line
Code:
href=\"http://fantasy.premierleague.com/M/entryhist.mc?id=$2\">History</a>");

In a classic league, the team info box doesn't work but FPL's own box with rank and total transfers does work.
In a H2H league, the box pops up on the league part of the page but not on the fixtures part.

I'd like to start by saying GREAT WORK RAZZA, I'm loving it

Just an idea for an addition.

On the Head-to-Head league table, it only shows the team name (I don't think it was like this last season).

Would be handy if you could add a managers name column next to the team name (so it looks the same as the normal leagues).

Also, if it's not too much more coding, have the managers name next to the team name down where the fixtures/scores are too.

Cheers :mrgreen:

I have an issue with the Greasemonkey script....

On the minileagues page, I can't order the leagues by month, only overall. That is, I can select the dropdown menu, but nothing changes. This works fine when I disable Greasemonkey.

I'm using Firecfox 3.5.2, and I think the latest version of Razza's script (anyone know how to check the version number of that?).

Hi. Installed the script yesterday, I love it already. works like a charm.

Just one issue on which I would appreciate some help. Spent a lot of time but can't seem to figure out how the captain percentage is calculated. Please help!

Thanks a lot to Razza for this wonderful script.

The code is very useful... thanks.
One request: If possible can you get the next update of the programme to give the "useful" or "selling" team value, that is the sum of the amounts you can sell each payer for plus what is in the bank. This of course can be very different from the team value the website gives. For example my team value is 103.7 but my "useful" team value is just 101.5

Thanks

an incredibly pointless request but something that interests me nonetheless...

is there any way that you could put a script in that monitored the effectiveness of your transfers, for each gameweek...

so, if in gameweek 1 you transfer players A1 and B1 out and A2 and B2 in, could you make some sort of algorithm table which works out...

gw1: A2(gw1 score) + B2(gw1) - A1(gw1) - B1(gw1) - 4 (points hit)

also maybe a cumulative graph showing overall effectiveness...

gw2 you transfer C1 out and C2 in... so you have cumulatively:

gw2: A2(gw1+2) + B2(gw1+2) - A1(gw1+2) - B1(gw1+2) - 4 + C2(gw2) - C1(gw2)

probably incredibly complicated and definitely pointless, but would be pretty interesting... for the lamer audience :lol:

Thanks. The hover over team name in a league for more info was also broken.

They've both been fixed in the beta, and the updated beta has been copied over to the live version. I'm not really in to the FPL so much this year (I've woken too many times at 11.31 on a saturday morning and not made my changes mid week). It's a bit demoralising.

Anyway I'll try and keep an eye on this thread for the next week or so.
