I was just going through the bottom of the overall leader board to try and see how many points gets you out of the millionaires club and came across many different ranks for the same points score - 789 points seems to be the cut-off point at the momemt but the ranking seems be up the creek with many different ranks for the same score throughout the lists.

Is this to do with the GW1 cock-up at the start of FPL this year or am I just half asleep this morning?

I just noticed the same thing about the top 10k - the scores above and below 10,000th are both 989 (eerily 200 points above the figure below).

My best guess is that the league tables are yet to finalise for this week - this year they seem to be taking much longer to recalculate - and when the week indicates "Complete", the anomaly might disappear.

i suppose there are another half million or so teams this year. So it would take longer.

It's because when two teams have the same score, they are separated by total transfers made 8-)

Looks like that's a factor (the last three in the position above 10,000th have 13 transfers each), but these managers all have the same position:

http://fantasy.premierleague.com/entry/ ... istory/17/ (14 total, 0 GW)
http://fantasy.premierleague.com/entry/ ... istory/17/ (15 total, 1 GW)
http://fantasy.premierleague.com/entry/ ... istory/17/ (16 total, 2 GW)

Ah well, ours not to reason why. Plus they're still updating. I've seen big jumps in participation in previous years without this delay. I'm guessing it's the new site design.

That's because they're ranked on transfers up to this week (i.e. the last deadline). All three of those teams had done 14 transfers up to this week.

D'oh! I see that as soon as you point it out to me, cheers :)

I will always do badly in ties then... far too many transfers!

EDIT: Just worked out I would be 810 places higher if I hadn't made 22 transfers - that'd be a 3.6% boost in my position!

Of course, I'd have scored half the points
