The FPL Knockout super-cup

Move over Sultan Ibragimov and Wladimir Klitschko - this is the mummy of unification bouts.

By complete chance the FISO FPL knockout cup and the FISO FPL Wimbledon comps have concluded in the same week.

What better then than a unification event.

In this one off event Roga the 2010 FISO FPL knockout cup champ will take on jimmyhill the 2010 FISO FPL Wimbledon winner.

The winner will go down in history as the true king of knockout comp. Gentleman - the best of luck. Scoring will take place over 2 gameweeks - Nos 26 and 27 - in the event of a tie we will move on to gameweek 28 and so on - if it is still a tie after week 40 it will carry on next season until its resolved :D

Roga -v- jimmyhill.

Its 1,275th -v- 2,330th - if the tie were a stick of rock which you broke in half it would read "Quality"

Bring it on Jimmy! Just having a look at our teams, they look very similar where I can see at least 7 same players and almost completely identical midfield. Just doing some snooping, he seems to not have played his second wildcard so I'm assuming it will be done either this week or for GW27, which is when I plan to use mine as well... this matchup looks like a cracker!

I'll even up the shouting from the stands for Roga, never did like tennis (unless its Kournikova vs Sharapova, I'd love to *cough* watch *cough* them)

This has the makings of a classic :D Fingers crossed my differentials will do the business and my wildcard will be as successful as my earlier one. Best of luck Roga, may the best man win! :)

Going to take a huge advantage into the return leg. I'm on 79 with Foster to come and Jimmy is on 67 all played.

The FPL Knockout Supercup - leg 1

Well first blood to Roga who moves into the 744th overall with a smart 20 point lead. Jimmyhill though didn't win the Wimbledon title through lack of effort and we move into the huge double gameweek with it all to play for.

Gentlemen - good luck in the final gameweek......

An update mid GW

Roga is on 60 for the week

Jimmyhill 64

16 points in it

Roga with 4 to play

Jimmyhill with I think, 8 to play - including RVP

It could be very close...

I think you got my team link wrong in the first post, hence why you think I have 4 more to play this GW! :o I infact have 8 to play as well :P

And for the record, this is my GW27 link:

Well the final game of the gameweek. It all comes down to the Arsenal vs Stoke game. Here are the players:

Me: 74 + Szczesny + Huth + Fabregas (c)

Them: 91 + Huth + Walcott

Also note, I have a 20 point advantage from the first leg, the advantage is now down to 3 for me leading into the final game.

You'll be unlucky to lose it from there, although as a Walcott owner I'm hoping he's more influential than Fab. :P

Well it was a very close affair but Roga takes the supercup, but Jimmyhill went down fighting.
