FISO FPL Open Golf Tournament

As both Wimbledon and the FPL cup have come to end I am launching a new side game. The concept is simple and all you have to do is enter.

As this is a trial game it will just be 9 holes – if the take up is good – then it may extend to 18 next year. The course is the first 9 of the old course at St Andrews.

Scoring:
The scores for all of the competitors will be listed in order and depending where you fit in that list will determine your score for the week. In the event of tie you will go to the higher level.

Bottom
0% to 10% - Double bogie (+2)
10% to 25% - Bogie (+1)
25% to 75% - Par (0)
75% to 90% - Birdie (-1)
90% to 100% - Eagle (-2)
Top

Anyone scoring in the top 1,000 in the country for the GW will earn themselves and albatross -3.

In determining your weekly score – transfers hit will be taken into account. In the event of a tie at the end of the tournament we will move to a single GW play-off - the highest score taking that play-off, and so on until we have a winner. There will be a big scoreboard with all players and the holes across the top, with scores highlighted.

In the light of initial take up numbers are looking good so I am going to restrict take up to 40 players

Any feedback on the game welcomed. For an 18 hole game I would probably introduce a few extra’s – a one off mulligan to be played on a bad week etc – any ideas like that welcome.

Start date – Game week 28 – entries open until that game week starts.

Please sign up below – there is just one qualification for entry and that is that your FPL button must link to your team.

They are based on a percentage of the players that have signed up - it's where you rank compared to the rest of that field - that's why I think we need at least 20. Good question - thanks.

I'm not sure that example is right. I think the scores need to turned upside down. You got the highest so therefore you should be -2. So you are therefore winning!

Cheers guys / gals 21 declarations on the first day - I am looking for another 19 and given we are still a couple of weeks away I reckon we will get there no problem. Just to let you know however that there limited spaces available! If anyone wants to customise their golfer's name feel free.
