Gameweek 23 Results:

Aston Villa 2 - 1 Liverpool

The Champions get back on track thanks to goals from gazwood and TheTon. The scoreline doesn't tell the whole story though, Liverpool hit the woodwork twice in injury time and just didn't get the breaks...Motm Grob

Chelsea 2 - 0 Brighton & Hove Albion

Another comfortable home win for Chelsea sees them move up to 4th in the table. Brighton, pointless in 19th are pleased Derby are around these days! New captain Roga's star shines brightly as he scores both goals...Motm Roga

Everton 3 - 0 Newcastle Utd

Everton continued where they'd left off against Derby with a stunning performance. djnuttie tore into the magpies from the start, totally overshadowing the weak Newcastle midfield. His two goals were added to by a penalty from moonlightdribbler as Everton look to build on last season's League Cup win to try and be a real force in the league this season....Motm djnuttie

Ipswich Town 3 - 1 Nottingham Forest

Another cup winning team, Nottingham Forest are finding things tough. Here they came up against the Tractor Boyz and got ploughed over fairly easily. Ipswich find themselves on top of the league with the only 100% record! Their new signing Tacalabala was outstanding on his debut, scoring and setting up the other goals...Motm Tacalabala

Leeds Utd 1 - 0 Hull City

Grim game between two poor teams. It looked like a goal-less draw until GM pounced on a loose back-pass from Discogod, rounded the keeper and walked the ball into the net with just minutes to go. Leeds need to improve, Hull need a holiday, but not to Barcelona, their scouts were spotted in the crowd watching the league's top player the...Motm Abumies

Manchester Utd 1 - 1 Rangers

These two sides are going through transitional stages, for Rangers, captain barry is taking a rest now and letting the young stud Maureenho take over. barry's been struggling lately, the break could do him good. United have a superstar of their own in UEM, a man playing at the top of his game, but elsewhere the team are just not firing...Motm UEM

Portsmouth 1 - 1 Arsenal

These two teams were one and two going into this game, and after this draw they're two and three. Portsmouth bossed this game and came close to taking the points but Arsenals new skipper DanCaek blocked every shot and cleared off the line...Motm frattonender

Southampton 2 - 0 Derby

Derby were awful again. Southampton hardly needed to get out of second gear, The Saint and DrBunker scored and generally passed the ball around the static Derby midfield, for whom johnnyhp was particularly poor...Motm The Saint

Stoke City 0 - 1 Crystal Palace

Two teams lacking in confidence couldn't keep the crowd warmed up. Stoke have forgotten the word teamwork, bossdrum tried hard, everyone else stood around. Palace were happy with a point but hadn't told jn77. In one of the goals of the season he took the ball past the whole Stoke team and slotted home to bag the points...Motm jn77

Tottenham Hotspur 3 - 0 West Ham Utd

Spurs are joint top scorers after this facile victory. Doogal, RTT and bagpuss scoring, but how bad were West Ham. This is the poorest performance seen so far this season, food poisoning perhaps?...Motm Doogal

Cheers Spencer!

Hoping to get some consistency back into the Villa side after this victory, the summit beckons

Thanks Spencer. I've been playing well and hope to continue the trend for Chelsea. By the way, just a question, how long does it take to do results each week? From what I can see it would take quite a while.

It's all set up, so only the actual scores and write-ups take any real time. The rest is just cut-and-pasted together. An hour or so usually does it.

Gameweek 24 Fixtures:

Arsenal v Man Utd

Arsenal try to keep their great start going by bringing back Arsh287 for DixieDean and gjkendall for Maradona. United, will rely again on their captain as Giggs and hifromsriram make welcome returns.... Prediction 3-2

Brighton & Hove Albion v Aston Villa

This could get nasty. The Champions are in form and hungry to get back to the top. Stick replaces Spiny at the sharp end as Brighton will hope to keep the goals-against down...Prediction 1-3

Crystal Palace v Tottenham

Two teams who have had fairly good starts. Spurs will face a good test of their new free-scoring style here as Palace are coming off a good result last week. Jeffersdn is back which could further hinder Spurs' ambitions. For Palace, nevblake is back and zipnolan takes over as captain from CarlosTheFinger...Prediction 2-2

Derby v Portsmouth

Things don't get much easier for Derby. At least they're at home, but the visit of 2nd place Portsmouth will worry their most loyal supporters. Unchanged teams, an expected outcome..Prediction 1-3

Hull v Southampton

What has happened to Hull? They have the number one player in the league in Abumies, but the rest of them just expect him to do all the work. Losing to Leeds was really poor. Southampton will be a good test of their mettle...Prediction 1-2

Liverpool v Leeds Utd

Two wins and four defeats between these two teams. Large squads, but too much rotation probably the problem. Leeds bring back greebynog, Liverpool bring back gchappie as both sides try to kick-start their seasons...Prediction 2-1

Newcastle Utd v Chelsea

Newcastle's good start is but a distant memory now and a rampant Chelsea will not be easy. Roga brings the boys north without mr.maniac, mkc0303 taking his place in the team...Prediction 2-2

Nottingham Forest v Stokel

Stoke really are in trouble. Their teamsheet shows a rare start for Takeshi Kovacs, a man who's not trained for months, Forest have every chance of exploiting his lack of fitness...Prediction 3-0

Rangers v Everton

Big week over the border as barry takes a rare break. Maureenho has a few new ideas he wants to try out and has been given the armband. Everton are looking good, and will hope to spring a surprise, Bunners is fit again and replaces newb0rn...Prediction 1-2

West Ham Utd v Ipswich

Game of the week sees the league leaders visit the East End as West Ham try to knock a hole in Ipswich's 100% record. For Ipswich, general Jedi travels, with blahblah left cursing at home. The Hammers have Hammered in as captain as they hope to gain a third win...Prediction 2-1

Gameweek 24 Results:

Arsenal 1 - 0 Man Utd

Not many goals about this week and this one looked like ending goal-less until the unfortunate hifromsriram managed to deflect a cross from atx1303 into his net. Arsenal are really going well, at last looking like they could be a force this season...Motm atx1303

Brighton & Hove Albion 0 - 0 Aston Villa

This was a slightly better goal-less draw. The Champions are finding it tougher going this season but will be happy enough. TheTon is playing well, scoring a nice goal which was matched by a screamer from BravoT, a player who's looking to get back to the top...Motm TheTon

Crystal Palace 0 - 1 Tottenham

Three wins on the spin for Spurs now and they find themselves in 4th place! This game looked like drifting to a draw before the talented RememberTheTitans picked the ball up in his own half and chipped the hapless keeper from 45 yards...Motm RTT

Derby 0 - 0 Portsmouth

The champagne will be out in Derby after they secure their first point ever in the top flight. This was a good point too, especially with their captain Jonners having to leave the field with a nasty injury. Portsmouth seem to have come for the point but we expect now expect better things from them...Motm penguin17

Hull 1 - 0 Southampton

This game stank. Terrible football, played in a gale. perivar limped off, JD007, of all people headed into his own net to relieve the boredom. Hull have their win but will need to improve on this...Motm shm247

Liverpool 0 - 0 Leeds Utd

Liverpool will be kicking themselves after dominating this game. They failed to score because they couldn't beat the Leeds' offside trap. Time after time Spencer4 moved up at the last second to catch gchappie out. Bandit cleared off the line in the dying seconds to get Leeds the point...Motm Mintman

Newcastle Utd 0 - 1 Chelsea

The press turned up in force to catch of glimpse of amcal59. All week there has been news of his flirtatious exploits and it was a surprise to see him turn up here. For him to then smash the winner for Chelsea was typical. Newcastle have slipped to their usual standards, this will be a long hard season for them...amcal59

Nottingham Forest 1 - 1 Stoke

This was actually the highest quality game of the week. Stoke brought their A-Game to their midlands neighbours and nearly walked off with the points. SUZYKINS and Karrde ran rings around jpk and Shaggy, but equally freckles and Keithy pressured bossdrum and Takeshi. A draw was a fair result...Motm SUZYKINS

Rangers 0 - 0 Everton

It's really looking grim for Rangers. the pre-season favourites find themselves without a win and with their club captain barry in therapy. Maureenho doesn't seem to have the respect needed and the crowd were unimpressed by the effort put in, especially by AMc. Everton were the better team but were let down by Scottoffee's finishing...Motm Bunners

West Ham Utd 0 - 1 Ipswich

It looks like they want us to take them seriously! Ipswich rattled off their fourth win in a row to set up a league record. this result was never in doubt, Jim Royal, sporting a new waistline, and WHATEVER ran the show. They nearly scored two, but toyed with Hammered instead, passing the ball between them when it would have been easier to score. The late Sir Bobby would have been a happy man to see this...Motm Jim Royal

Gameweek 25 Fixtures:

Arsenal v Derby County

For the second week running Derby, the bottom club face the team in second place in the table. This week it's Arsenal. Slightly fortunate to beat Man Utd, the Gunners will want to impress against the league's whipping boys. Razorback and Maradona return to squeeze the Rams...Prediction 2-0

Aston Villa v Crystal Palace

Two teams coming off disappointing results last week, Villa will be especially keen to use their home fixture advantage. Stick looked good in the reserves so replaces Spinynorman up front. Palace stick with the same team...Prediction 2-1

Chelsea v Stoke City

Unbeaten Chelsea hope to put amcal's troubles behind them with a cozy home fixture. Matty B replaces 5 long bones in goal. Stoke though, could be a thorn in the Chelsea side, they looked good last week and the pom is back...Prediction 1-1

Everton v Brighton & Hove Albion

Just one point so far for the Party Boyz and this trip north will be tough, They are staying in the North West all week after drawing Liverpool in the Cup so god knows what state they'll be in next week. djnuttie comes in for Scottoffee as Everton try to join the pace-setters...Prediction 2-1

Hull City v Nottingham Forest

Four points each for these under-performers so far. It seems strange to see Abumies still trying to make this team play, but he'll be returning to Fulham for the cup games. Forest are playing well enough but I see this ending in a draw...Prediction 1-1

Leeds Utd v Portsmouth

Leeds got lucky last week and will need to improve to get anything here. Portsmouth themselves returned home with red faces after gifting a first point to Derby and more will be expected. Leeds replace GM and greebynog with the impressive Surprised and FlaminGalah...Prediction 1-2

Man Utd v Tottenham

Spurs try to make it four in a row as they travel to United in hope. Jeffersdn doesn't travel with the team, blueprint is back. United look there for the taking, losing badly to Arsenal last week. Spurs for the title? I'll eat my cat...Prediction 1-1

Newcastle Utd v Liverpool

Newcastle in a slump, three defeats on the spin and they'll soon find themsleves at the bottom again. Looney and topknotch are back but they need a miracle. Liverpool are underperforming themselves, but would hope to be good enough to silence the Geordie crowd, Sasquatch is back...Prediction 0-1

Southampton v Ipswich Town

Game of the week. Ipswich are aiming for their fifth win in a row and what could be better than a trip to the league's first Champions Southampton. These old stagers are not quite in championship-winning form, but this will still be a test for the young pretenders, a test too far?...Prediction 1-1

West Ham Utd v Rangers

West Ham came up against the Ipswich whirlwind last week, and things potentially get no easier as the pre-season favourites come visiting. However, Rangers are a fried mars bar away from a packed lunch at the moment, their talisman barry is under hypnosis and the team are running on empty. The Hammers replace captain Hammered with mcnegox...Prediction 1-0

Nice work Spencer!

Great start from spurs this season. Were actually doing much better since I was stripped of the captaincy after some hectic Christmas period drinking and not playing to my full potential

Gameweek 25 Results:

Arsenal 1 - 1 Derby County

Derby seem to be finding their feet in this league. This was a much better performance, against a team riding high in the table. No weaknesses in either team, a bizarre penalty decision put the home side ahead but jOnners hit a lovely curling freekick past Razorback to grab their first away point...Motm jOnners

Aston Villa 1 - 2 Crystal Palace

The Champions find themselves in the bottom half of the league table after this defeat. Blame really has to go to TheTon, who stood aside as first bluelionman and then jn77 powerfully headed the visitors into a 0-2 lead. Stick, as ever proved dangerous but they couldn't manage two goals, Palace now up to 8th...Motm bluelionman

Chelsea 2 - 2 Stoke City

This was an exceptional game, with both teams playing superb football. Chelsea were solid and looked a good bet after going two up in 30 minutes through Roga and mkc0303, but in the second half, roared on by their 35 supporters, the pom and bossdrum leveled things up. Only one point each though...Motm the pom

Everton v Brighton 1 - 1 Hove Albion

This was a hell of a struggle for Everton after Bunners got himself sent off for a wicked challenge on albionjulie. It affected Julie's game, she was just never up to speed after the incident. BravoT scored and Brighton tried to defend the last half hour but moonlightdribbler squeezed in an equalizer just before the final whistle...Motm BravoT

Hull City 2 - 1 Nottingham Forest

At last Hull are looking like the team we know they can be. They controlled this game well, never really looking in trouble, despite Forest playing their kick and chase football as well as they can...Motm Discogod

Leeds Utd 1 - 2 Portsmouth

The only surprise here is that Leeds managed a goal. They are pants, only the captain Bandit looking at all worthy of wearing the famous white shirt. Portsmouth scored early through frattonender, but need a last minute winner after Bandit equalized late on. Knotty converting a penalty after Steve_lee had been pushed over by Surprised in the area...Motm Bandit

Man Utd 1 - 1 Tottenham

Spurs tried to make it four in a row but despite dominating most of this game, they couldn't convert all of their chances and United will feel fortunate to escape with a point. owen looked short of match fitness and it will be no surprise to see bert. return after his hat-trick in the reserves...Motm Doogal

Newcastle Utd 1 - 1 Liverpool

A good draw fought out in the searing cold at St James' Park. A warming fight between URkiddingme and Mintman gave these two a chance to sample the hot showers first, but the others, topknotchbloke and Grob especially, entertained the crowd...Motm Grob

Southampton 2 - 1 Ipswich Town

Ipswich lose their 100% record to the Saints but this was very close. Only in the final minutes did Southampton finally manage to silence the tractor-boys support, when a well placed freekick from JD007 claimed the points. Ipswich will come again, they still looked good, but not quite good enough on the day...Motm Jim Royal

West Ham Utd 1 - 0 Rangers

These are worrying times for Rangers, their bus left without them and they were forced to travel down with their supporters. From the moment they walked onto the pitch it was apparent that they'd been indulging a little too much on the long journey down. AMc was sick and didn't return for the second half, so he missed a great goal from Richt that sent Rangers home to think again...Motm Richt

League Cup Round One Results:

One or two surprises. Derby get beaten by Bournemouth but the way they're playing that's to be expected. Other shocks include Coventry beating last year's premier club Man City away, and Rangers getting thumped for the second time this week by West Ham.

Gameweek 26 Fixtures:

Brighton & Hove Albion v Southampton

Southampton travel up the coast fresh from their excellent win over the league leaders. Brighton should be there for the taking, though the promotion of in-form BravoT to captain should inspire the Seagulls...Prediction 1-2

Crystal Palace v Hull City

Mid-table starts for these two, but they are both coming off good wins last week against Villa and Forest respectively. Palace's performance was especially pleasing and home turf should give them the edge. Palace are unchanged, Hull welcome back perivar for shm...Prediction 3-2

Derby v Man Utd

Derby remain bottom, but there were certainly green shoots of recovery in their display against Arsenal last time out. United make three changes, hif, bert and sbg come in to try to add some sparkle...prediction 1-1

Ipswich Town v Everton

Ipswich's progress was halted last week by Southampton, but this week, back at home, they'll be confident of overcoming an Everton team lacking cohesion and discipline. Bunners is banned after his assault on Julie and is replaced by Scottoffee. Ipswich rest WHATEVER for blahblah...prediction 3-1

Liverpool v West Ham

This could go either way. Liverpool and West Ham have identical scoring records though the Londoners have managed 3 wins to Liverpool's 1. The Scousers welcome back Krispy and redrum and Grob takes the armband from the broken-nosed Mintman. The hammers have Hammered back in defence...prediction 2-1

Nottingham Forest v Newcastle Utd

17th plays 16th in a game that could spell near disaster for the losers. These two teams are always struggling in this league, though Forest do have some silverware to show for their efforts! Spudder replaces the broken-wristed URKiddingme for The Toon...prediction 2-1

Portsmouth v Aston Villal

Game of the week. Portsmouth in second, host the suffering Champions Villa. Portsmouth cruised past Leeds in ominous form last week, whereas Villa found Palace too strong. A trip to Portsmouth is not what the doctor would have ordered. The out of form TheTon is benched in favour of Spinynorman...prediction 3-2

Rangers v Arsenal

Two teams at opposite ends on the table, but surprisingly it's Arsenal in 3rd and Rangers 2nd bottom. Rangers lose AMc to illness so barry is back, though he appeared to be limping during training this week! Arsenal travel north hopefully, DixieDean raplacing atx...prediction 2-2

Stoke City v Leeds Utd

Only one place separates these two, but Stoke will be confident of victory. They played superbly at Chelsea while Leeds were hopeless in losing to Portsmouth. Stoke are unchanged but Leeds bring in Andybarrell for Surprised...prediction 3-1

Tottenham v Chelsea

Two London clubs on the up, 4th place Chelsea travel across town to White Hart Lane to play 5th place Spurs. Chelsea put up the performance of the week last week and are still unbeaten. Spurs were unlucky only taking a point from Old Trafford. Both teams will hope for a win, but a draw seems more likely. The only change is for the home team, RememberTheTitans being replaced by Jeffersdn! That can't be right can it?...prediction 2-2

League Cup Round 2 Draw

Highlights include Liverpool traveling to Manchester United, and West Ham v Newcastle, but it'll be tough for the Bournemouth giant-killer, visiting Leeds.

Haven't been on the bench for a while so I suppose I'm due a rest. It's also quite handy as I'm at the High Court this week trying to obtain an injunction.
