I'm so proud of my team-mates.

I'm welling up and getting a lump in the throat.

I'd just like to take this opportunity to thank a few people. Firstly my team-mates, and also Mr Cat for giving us a home tie each round.

That'll do. 8-)

Poor showing from the Albion on Saturday, I think the fact that I was somehow joint MOTM with a score of 38 summed up the match! Still, currently sat in the top half in our debut season, so it ain't all bad.

Fixtures GW 19:

Arsenal v Aston Villa

Arsenal get the privilege of getting a first look at the new Champions and who knows what mood they'll be in after a week of celebrations. Spinynorman gets a run out as Gazwood over-indulged again. For Arsenal this has been a terrible season and they'll want points to keep them from the trap-door...Prediction 1-1

Brighton v Tottenham

A short trip south for Spurs who've done better than expected, but were still rubbish. Brighton, a team put together in a hurry, have done fairly well, Ironfist being a fine loan signing for them. Spurs bring back Bagpuss for the totally ineffectual Jeffersdn...Prediction 1-0

Crystal Palace v Chelsea

4ht place Palace host 7th place Chelsea. A great game on paper, and both teams will hope to grab a top 4 place with a win. Palace could even get the runners-up spot and bring back zipnolan despite his hang-over for the distracted bluelionman. The smart money is going on Chelsea for next season. They've improved gradually as the weeks have gone by and all their squad are in the top 5% of players. 5 Long Bones back for Mr Maniac...Prediction 2-2

Hull City v Man Utd

Hull have totally brown it this season. They were nearly the kings but a total loss of form by shm247 has hit them hard. United have too many underperforming players in their squad and need to take a good look at themselves. Bert and Bob back again for Giggs and Owen, Hifromsriram replaces UEM as captain...prediction 1-2

Liverpool v Southampton

Despite the obvious disappointment, Southampton have put up a great defense of their title and can still grab the 2nd spot with a win here. That may not be beyond them as Liverpool are an average team at best. Sasquatch back as captain and Kitkat on the wing this week but I still think the Saints will be too strong...Prediction 1-2

Manchester City v Stoke

Stoke have fallen apart over recent weeks and could well slip up again here. City are just a point off the bottom and have disappointed generally. Home advantage could swing it...prediction 1-0

Newcastle United v Leeds

Newcastle came bottom last season, and find themselves in bottom place again going into this last game. Leeds were 10th last season and lie in 8th this time, so there really should be only one result. But football's a funny game and on their day the Toon can beat anyone, Looney back for topknotch. Leeds drop Surprised after his poor display in the Cup Final and welcome back FlaminGalah...Prediction 1-1

Nottingham Forest v Everton

Forest have been on the Champagne after their Cup victory but they need to sober up because they could still come bottom! Actually this game sees the winners of both cups playing a kind of Super-Cup fixture, Bunners returns for Everton and djnuttie departs...Prediction 2-1

Rangers v Ipswich

A great season from Rangers. They're in second and intend to stay there. If only pa102aw had been playing last week and not on International duty. Ipswich have done very well in this their first season and a win here could take them into the top 8...Prediction 2-0

West Ham v Portsmouth

Portsmouth have a chance of bettering last season's 4th place, but they'll need to win here and seem to be struggling for form slightly. The Hammers were 12th last year and are 12th this year, Hammerddh is still too sick to play so Hammered comes in...Prediction 2-1

Results GW 19:

Arsenal 0 - 0 Aston Villa

A game as colourless as the left-over turkey saw Arsenal take a point from the new Champions thanks to fine displays from Maradona_Is_God and Arsh287. Villa's superior teamwork kept them in it and they'll be a force again next season...Motm Maradona_Is_God

Brighton 1 - 1 Tottenham

This game was a far better example of a draw. Brighton have coped well in the top league and fil16's early header gave them a lead that at times they looked like keeping. However, despite Bagpuss limping off, Spurs had three players who were keen to end the season on a high and Doogal scored for them late on to take a share of the points...Motm Doogal

Crystal Palace 1 - 0 Chelsea

Palace finish the season in 3rd place, but they were rather fortunate to win this one. A crazy own-goal by Chelsea skipper mkc0303 was the highlight of this drab encounter...Motm zipnolan

Hull City 1 - 1 Man Utd

A good game, enlivened by the two goals scored either side of the break by first UEM, and then perivar kept the supporters of both clubs happy as the season drifted to a close. Hull can be very proud of their achievement, 4th place is a terrific finishing position...Motm UEM

Liverpool 2 - 0 Southampton

Liverpool are good on their day, and this was it. Kitkatshuffler and Mintman scoring goals to disappoint the tiring ex-champs. 8th place for the Reds and 5th for Southampton. I would expect both teams to challenge next season...Motm JD007

Manchester City 0 - 0 Stoke

Not even a new manager could turn things round for City and this bore-draw leaves then in bottom place. Stoke have finished in joint 12th with Spurs, nothing to be proud of...Motm Karrde

Newcastle United 2 - 1 Leeds

Leeds have finished the season in 10th place the same as last season. Newcastle are on the up, 20th last year, 19th this! allwaysonthebeer yet again showed what a great player he is, dominating the midfield and scoring twice. He's have taken home the champagne if it weren't for the wonder goal of the week from ex-captain of Leeds Spencer4...Motm Spencer4

Nottingham Forest 1 - 0 Everton

The battle of the Cup winners ended with Forest taking home the spoils. They've finished in 17th place, but can look back on a season of mixed-success but silverware. Everton have really slipped badly in the league this year and their League Cup success can be but scant consolation. Better needed...Motm Shaggy365

Rangers 2 - 0 Ipswich

Awesome power at home again from Rangers as captain and super-star barry, together with new golden-balls Maureenho led Ipswich a merry dance. Rangers finish runners-up and will be very hard to stop next season. Ipswich did okay in their first season, but will need to improve...Motm Maureenho

West Ham 2 - 1 Portsmouth

West Ham finished the season with a good win, taking them back into the top half. Portsmouth's season fell away but they are a good solid team. Hammered and Richt scored early on for west Ham, but the game's best goal came from motm frattonender who showed some of last year's skill dispossessing Mercer and slaloming through the defense to score...Motm frattonender

I feel i must apologise to the ex-Everton legends of last season who did a fine job of finishing 2nd and going through the whole season unbeaten, if i'm not mistaken. The new generation botched it right up didn't we?

I don't think a league cup victory will mask what has turned out to be a terrible league placing, and to think only a few weeks ago i fancied us to put a run together and atleast finish in the top 3!

All 5 of us are expecting the call in the coming days, to be taken out and shot at dawn!

Well done fellas, glad to have been a part of it. And not wanting to let the side down has also helped to curb my multiple transfer habit.

Aha - yes - fantastically entertaining comp - well run as always - thanks SP4

Well done to those who won prizes and thanks for not awarding wooden spoons and poor performane awards - I fear I would have featured.

Unlucky Saints - a win and a top half finish - we will be back - stronger!

Superb stuff Spencer. :D

A comfortable mid-table finish for the Albion in our debut season, mixing it in nicely with the big boys. A proud moment for a Brighton fan, to finish above the likes of Arsenal & Man United. Well done you Seagulls. :D
