We'll find out just how far you managed to come through the field later this evening CY (I already have some idea but obviously I need to wait for bonuses to be added and all that stuff before I can make the final calculations)

Is the race day results based on just that specific GW or do you include your qualifying GW total as well? I keep qualifying well and then dying on my sword in the race. Is it better just to come last in qualifying but make sure you have the best GW score for race day?

Race score is your even GW score, modified by the qualifying bonus/penalty earned with your odd GW score, and then the tyre/strategy picks are added.

So your odd GW score is not directly added to race totals, it only changes anything based on the bonus/penalty earned from qualifying.

Edit - and sacrificing qualifying score, as CY will most likely find this week, will mean that you can have the best race score and still not win, so it's not a good strategy (even if your FPL year was all about winning this side game which i doubt)

FS Record: TFFOSM MotW in 2008 and MotM in 2003. 78th overall in TFFO for 2002/3 and 2003/4
I think I had a poor race despite being second on the grid

In that case I think I have 78 points. Straight away I can see it's not enough to beat CY or Brightwater.

I am carrying a -12 courtesy of qualifying last.

Actually you're carrying a -15 (1 point in every 5) for qualifying last.

There's also plenty of points available via tyres/strategy too

Just looking at the raw scores on a race GW won't give you much clue about who has won. You'll be able to tell a fair few that definitely haven't won, but anyone in the top half of the GW score, depending on how they did the week before and how their picks have done, has a decent chance.

I'll have some dinner then I'll be back to do the final calculations and write the report

I thought i had scored 59, hadn't checked post boni (assumed i was good for 1-5 boni so went with 12).

Dont think its enough, looking forward to finding out. Either way i am sure its a record from last on the grid.
