Player picks are now open for the second race weekend. remember that you will be locked in to these picks for both GW3 and GW4 so take that into account when choosing your player.

You are allowed to make one strategy call and one tyre call. The strategy call can be any defender or goalkeeper, and the tyre call can be any midfielder or forward. If there are two or more players with the same surname, please be careful to specify beyond doubt which one you mean. If you tell me Cole, or Taylor, or one of the others with more than one player under that name without specifying which then I will count the lowest scoring eligible player for the qualifying week as your pick for the race weekend.

Please copy and paste the previous picks into your post so that I have one post at the end containing all of the picks for the race weekend.

You can change your picks at any time up to the official FPL deadline (please make a new post copy/pasting all selections and editing yours in that - if you simply edit your initial post after others have copied it I may well miss it), and you are allowed to pick any player whether he is in your FPL team or not, as long as he plays in the correct position.

The two top GW scorers also jointly picked the best player picks, bringing home 31 points thanks to Rooney and Baines/Bosingwa, and rightly share the front row. TRSS, Roga, Tacalabala, Sohei Tigers and myself all record our 2nd top 10 grid slot in a row. Down at the bottom the entire back row of BFM and CY declined to make any picks for this GP, and it shows just how important they can be with them both right down there, although briankidd got away with it thanks to a very respectable GW score.

Apologies for missing my pick, i was on holiday but given my start to the season it wouldn't have made a blind bit of difference.

No worries CY - I did consider allowing the three who missed the pick to submit a pick for the race only but realised that it wouldn't be fair on the others who had to balance their GW4 pick with GW3 games so you're stuck with 0 pick points for the race as well I'm afraid.
