You all know the drill by now but the FFPL legal team insist I put up the blurb for each new race...

PLEASE ONLY PICK PLAYERS FOR THIS THREAD IF YOU ARE ONE OF THE 24 CONFIRMED ENTRANTS

Player picks are now open for the ninth race weekend. remember that you will be locked in to these picks for both GW17 and GW18 so take that into account when choosing your player.

You are allowed to make one strategy call and one tyre call. The strategy call can be any defender or goalkeeper, and the tyre call can be any midfielder or forward. If there are two or more players with the same surname, please be careful to specify beyond doubt which one you mean. If you tell me Cole, or Taylor, or one of the others with more than one player under that name without specifying which then I will count the lowest scoring eligible player for the qualifying week as your pick for the race weekend.

Please copy and paste the previous picks into your post so that I have one post at the end containing all of the picks for the race weekend.

You can change your picks at any time up to the official FPL deadline (please make a new post copy/pasting all selections and editing yours in that - if you simply edit your initial post after others have copied it I may well miss it), and you are allowed to pick any player whether he is in your FPL team or not, as long as he plays in the correct position.

Due to the lateness of getting this picks thread up, picks will only count if we have 16 or more people making their choices (I reckon if 2/3 of the field manage to get their choices up then everyone has probably had a fair chance, plus I'm about to send a mass PM to get people to make their picks)

I'll let someone else start off the picks because I haven't had time yet to look at fixtures for the next two weeks.

That seems a bit unfair. For the last race I knew I would have no access to the internet to make picks and was penalised accordingly. Everyone in this side game has known when the GW16 deadline was since the start of the season.

That seems a bit unfair. For the last race I knew I would have no access to the internet to make picks and was penalised accordingly. Everyone in this side game has known when the GW16 deadline was since the start of the season.


Difference is that it was factors at your end that caused you to not be able to pick, this time there wasnt a thread created by me until the same day as the deadline so I felt I had to make some sort of allowance in case I had left it too late for everyone. Bear with me I'm a side-game novice in terms of running things (I'm no Romyn or Krispy with seasons of experience) and I'm making those novice mistakes but I'm doing the best I can to be fair to everyone when trying to clean up my own messes. Hopefully as we go onwards there will be less messes to clean up :oops:

I'm always willing to listen and adjust things if people think I'm being unfair in any way, proof of that is allowing Abumies or Abhishekrocked's (forget which now sorry) to count for the race only when they came in late a race or two ago. So alongside what I said above please keep the criticism coming if you feel I deserve it - it's the best way for me to learn (I just got caught out this time by the way the deadline came thick and fast on the back of the previous weeks fixtures)

And poetic justice - I completely forgot to come back and make my own picks - no picks scores for me this week :roll:
