Sorry for the delay guys - with the FPL site still not exactly complete (no match breakdowns, etc) data extraction has been a headache. Been hoping they would sort it out but... meh

Anyways, here are the qualifying results for the first grand prix:

1. Beerfuelledman
2. Whatever
3. The Real Slim Shady
4. Surprised
5. Sohei Tigers
6. Calvin1979
7. Roga
8. Tacalabala
9. Moist von Lipwig
10. Crispybits
11. Discogod
12. Abhishekrocked
13. briankidd
14. Sir John Grimes
15. Stuboy
16. CanaryYellow
17. blahblah
18. Brightwater
19. Digsby
20. bcfc1903
21. Pink_Elephantz
22. Richt
23. Abumies
24. Ironfist

Beerfuelledman starting off strongly here! He deserves the pole having got both the highest GW score in FPL and also coming only 2 away from the maximum player picks score this week (he scored 15, Calvin1979 and CanaryYellow both scored 17)

Tacalabala and Moist von Lipwig were tied all the way down and their places were decided on a coin toss. All in all there were 5 sets of scores going to tiebreaks including a 3 way battle.

I've included Sohei Tigers despite their late entry because I'm pretty sure that was my fault for locking the league before they had a chance to join. Either way feels pretty harsh if I were to penalise when the main site was in so much of a mess.

Good luck this weekend for the race everyone!

:? err... either I didn't get the game scoring understood correctly or there's some mistake here...

Tacalabala got Strategy = Smalling, Tyres = Torres which equals 2+2=4pts and is positioned 8th.
Ironfist got Strategy = Lescott, Tyres = Drogba which equals 6+1=7pts and is positioned 24th-Last!

What gives?

qualifying based on your GW1 score, bonus added to your GW2 (race) score.

Well the results are all calculated now - these and the report will be up later this evening when I have time to write it.

In the meantime the next player picks thread will be open very very soon....
