FS Record: 116th in TFF 05/06
The first event has been completed in this season's Decathlon and there was a close finish for this event.

Across the line it was clear that three athletes had broken clear off the pack and the coaches of Peru, England and the British Virgin Islands were anxiously awaiting the outcome of the photo finish.

But moonlight driblbler of Peru won through in a time of 11.28s, just 1/100th of a second ahead of England's fil16 with Brightwater taking the 3rd place.

Full details are available via the results panel below.

The next event is of course the long jump
Image Long Jump
Event 2: GW11, 12, 13

Points: Highest Scoring Player's points converted to a distance
(All 15 Squad members included - Captain's points NOT doubled)
Foul: Foul jump if any of the squad's 1st 11 gets either a Red Card, an Own Goal or a Penalty Miss
Distance (cm) = 610 + (5 x FactoredPoints)

Blimey! What amazing stuff. :)

Anyway I was hoping to do better than that in the sprint as it was one of my best events at school.

I know it's only the beginning of the competition,... but I already heard rumours that moonlightdribbler was seen sneaking out of Mystery's hotel room in the Olympic village at around 4am... putting allegations of foul play aside for a sec, I'm surprised he was still able to run that fast the morning after during the actual race!

Not true - I was in London for the weekend on official olympic business. Would love to know who was in my hotel room here though :P

Thank you all for the kind words on the presentation - once again the Decathlon is brought to you in association with RomynPG.

I was only walking, if I'd broken into a jog I would have won easily - oh well

FS Record: TFFOSM MotW in 2008 and MotM in 2003. 78th overall in TFFO for 2002/3 and 2003/4
Sprinting was never my strong point.
I was also sent to the wrong track by an unscrupulous official and had to make my own way to the right one and was tired by the time I got there

Kindly unclench, the comment was not aimed at you Kelly, and we`re only 10 weeks in nobody`s having a disaster, our standards are just unfeasibly high :(

You`ve been working too hard, it will be fine, it always is, take some time off, wind down, enjoy it, take it too seriously and it will consume you, remember when you didn`t know what you were doing, train hard and it will come good, or take steroids like everyone else
