The FISO X League is a cash league for the enjoyment of members of the FISO FPL.com Forum community, with prizes! This will be its fourth year.

The cost of entry will be £10 (GBP), although Players must also cover the administration costs for their own payments (see below). Every penny that is paid into the Fund will be distributed as prizes. Your £10 entry fee will be split up as follows:

T&Cs summary:
You must be over 18 and have at least 40 posts on FISO to play. Apply by PM to WHATEVER. You must pay £10 by PayPal to WHATEVER by August 12th. You must join the minileague, whose code will be messaged to you and must be kept secret, by the GW1 deadline on August 14th. You must take responsibility for your own entry and fee. Deadlines will be strictly adhered to, if you miss them it’s your fault and you may be disqualified. You must agree to abide by both FPL’s rules AND the FULL X-League T&Cs below, if you break any of them or are caught cheating in any other way you may be disqualified. You should trust WHATEVER before entering and agree to accept his decisions. All money received will be given out as prizes, the exact distribution of which is set out above. No multi-teaming; you will be disqualified. WHATEVER will be in the X League for administrative purposes only and will not be elligable to win any prize.

FULL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

This league is based upon friendship and trust. If you do not trust the organiser (see 7, below) Do Not Apply to Join this Game!

Below are the full Terms and Conditions of the FISO X League. By applying to join the League you are confirming that you have read and agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions (T&Cs).

THE FISO FPL X League

Game Rules:
The FISO X League will abide by the Game Rules of Fantasy Premier League 2010/2011. Please read these rules carefully before applying to enter the FISO X League.

Terms & Conditions
By registering to participate in the FISO X League ("the League") governed by these terms and conditions and the Game Rules (as defined above) ("the Game") you hereby agree to be bound by and to abide by the following terms and conditions:

1) Entry into the Game is open to both UK and non-UK members of FISO ("the Site"), aged 18 years or over, who have made 40+ posts on any FISO Forum deemed by The FISO X League Organiser to be in concordance with the past ethos of this site. No correspondence in this matter will be entered into. The deadline for these 40+ posts is August 10th. The organiser reserves the right to refuse entry to any applicant who is deemed to have reached the 40 post requirement by the deadline solely by the method of ‘power-posting’. The Organiser's decision in this matter is final.

2) All applications to participate in the Game must be made to WHATEVER (The Organiser) by personal message and acceptance remains at the organiser's total discretion. No correspondence in this matter will be entered into. The Organiser's decision in this matter is final. No applications to enter made in any other manner will be accepted. Where his application is accepted any applicant thus entitled to participate in the Game shall be a Player.
There will be a closing date for Applications. All Applications must be received by The Organiser by personal message on or prior to August 10th. Upon acceptance all Players will be provided with The Organiser's Payment Details via personal message.

3) Upon notification of acceptance into the FISO X League payment of a £10 (GBP) must be made to WHATEVER by August 12th. Payment details will be sent with your Notification of Acceptance. Players will be responsible for their own administration costs (see 9, below) including currency charges and the Organiser's PayPal charges in regard to their own personal Fund.

4) Entries must not be submitted by agents or third parties. No responsibility can be accepted for lost, delayed or incomplete entries or entries not received by the FISO X League for any reason. Any such entries will be deemed void (concerning which the decision of The Organiser shall be final).

5) While there is no limit on the number of entries per household or organisation only one entry in respect of the FISO X League per unique registered user of the Site is permitted (concerning which the decision of The Organiser shall be final).

6) The Game will be governed by the Game Rules from time to time published on the FPL Site by The Premier League. The Premier League reserves the right to alter, amend or supplement the Game Rules from time to time as it sees fit in its absolute discretion in the event of any circumstances beyond its control arising or where it considers it desirable to do so and you hereby agree that no liability shall attach to the FISO X League Organiser as a result of any such amendment. You are advised to check the FPL Game Rules regularly from time to time. The FPL Game Rules form part of these terms and conditions.

7) Reminder: By applying to join the FISO X League you agree to accept all the terms and conditions herein. This league's administration structure is based on friendship and trust. If you not trust WHATEVER do not apply to join this league.
The Administrators of the FISO X League will comprise of:
The Organiser: WHATEVER. The organiser will only be in the X League for administration purposes. He will not be a Player in the X League. He will hold the Fund and pay the Prizes from that Fund. By sending The Treasurer your fund to hold in your name you accept that sole responsibility for that fund remains with you.
The Panel: Pouzar, WHATEVER & barry. The Panel will not be Players in the FISO X League. They will adjudicate at their earliest convenience in the unlikely event of any matter of contention. Any player may appeal a matter of contention to The Panel. The decision of The Panel will be final. Only the organiser has any access to the Fund. Pouzar and barry have no access to the Fund nor any legal responsibility for it or for the payment of prizes.

8) Reminder: There will be a closing date for payment into the Fund. All payment must be received by WHATEVER on or prior to August 12th. Any expense incurred in the return of voided late payments will be met by the Applicant in question.

9) Payment into the Fund may be made to the Organiser by PayPal (GBP) only. Players will be responsible for any currency conversion charges they incur both in payment into the Fund and in receipt of any Prizes. Players paying by PayPal must pay their own fees (where applicable) by selecting the relevant option when making the payment from PayPal's website.

Upon receipt/payment/clearance of the Player's Fund by the FISO X League the League Code will be sent to each Player. This code must not be divulged to any third party without the written consent of the Organiser. Doing so will be considered a violation of these terms and conditions (see 13, below).

10) Upon receipt of the FISO X League code from the Organisers, Players must join the league prior to the GW1 deadline. Failure to do so will be considered a breach of these T&Cs (see 13, below).

11) The prizes awarded in respect of the Game ("Prizes") will be at the discretion of The Organiser from time to time and The Organiser reserves the right to alter and amend the Prizes where circumstances beyond their control require them to do so. Subject to such amendment however:
The first Prize ("Winner's Prize") will be awarded to the player who according to The Premier League's determination is at the top of the FISO X League leader board published by The Premier League from time to time at the end of the 2010/2011 season. Similarly the second prize, third prize and monthly prizes will be determined by The Premier League's rules, including tie breaks. The exact structure of prizes is detailed above. Players agree to accept the decision of the organiser in this regard. In determining the prize structure, the organiser will ensure 100% of the Fund collected is distributed as prizes.

12) Any breach by any Player of the Game Rules shall be a breach of these terms and conditions (see 13, below).

13) In the event of any breach by any applicant and/or any Player of these terms and conditions The Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry to the relevant applicant and/or disqualify the player in question from any further participation in the FISO X League and any such decision by The Organiser shall be final. Any applicant so refused and/or Player so disqualified shall not be eligible to participate in the FISO X League under any other identity or team name. Any funds received by the Treasurer from disqualified Players are non-refundable and forfeit, and shall remain as part of the prize Fund.

14) Multi-Teaming: Any attempt by any Player to register more than one team will result in the expulsion from the FISO X League of all teams submitted by that Player and the forfeiture of any and all entry funds.
Note: Players are restricted to one team per unique FISO user. Entering a team under a second FISO username is not allowed and will be considered a breach of the Terms and Conditions to be dealt with in the same manner as Multi-Teaming.

15) Winners will be notified of their success by personal message. All prize winners shall be notified within 28 days of the conclusion of the relevant event at which time they must confirm their contact details prior to the prize in question being delivered. Prizes will be paid by personal cheque, PayPal, postal order or any other method agreed to between prize winners and the organiser. Prize winners will be liable for any costs incurred in payment of prizes, such as PayPal or postal order fees, or postage costs.

16) Neither The Organiser or The Panel shall be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered by any person (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) as a result of or in connection with or arising out of the FISO X League and/or the application of the Game Rules or these Terms and Conditions or as a result of or in connection with or arising out of any Prize or the use of the same or any personal injury suffered or sustained as a result of or in connection with or arising out of any Prize or the use of the same except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

17) The Organiser reserves the right to amend the T&Cs from time to time in the event of any circumstances beyond their control arising or where they consider it desirable to do so for the benefit of the League.

18) These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.

The only significant changes to the terms and conditions are to reflect the fact that you can now make payment via PayPal into the prize fund. (Very few people paid by post anyway.) Prizes can still be paid out by cheque.

Please be aware that I will handle applications in batches, approximately once a week. Do not be concerned if your PM is unread or not responded to right away.

I've never entered this but was hoping it might be possible this year to make payment by immediate bank transfer,in which case I'd happily do so.
I do have a paypal account, but treat it like the plague.

You have no real reason for concern regarding PayPal, grob. Sure they have their problems, but so do a lot of companies, and I think a lot of the problems come from sellers who use PayPal accounts rather than a one-off payment such as this. Go for it, grob. This is a great little side game.

I've not used it for a couple of years Jonathan, and I'd have to spend some time searching for my details, whereas with just 1 click,I could put my £10 in Whatever's bank a/c in an instant :)

Makes sense....I'm doing EBT and if someone just makes a deposit rather than a transfer or doesn't include fiso names in the transaction reference then it is very time consuming and means more pm's

paypal is the best option 8-)

I might have a go at this too whatever..... 8-)

Think it might depend whether you have a paypal account funded by your bank account / card :?

I don't, and got charged the extra 54p

You need to have received money into your paypal account in the past and have your bank account registered.

paypal immediately debited my bank a/c £10.54 via my pre-registered debit card,so they got the cash from my bank instantly

If I'd transferred £10 from my bank a/c to my paypal a/c first, and then instructed paypal to pay that £10 to Whatever, perhaps there might not have been a £0.54p charge by paypal,if sent as either a gift,or personal payment due.

However, paypal state that could take 5 to 7 days to process the transaction, which would've meant I'd have missed Whatever's 12th August deadline for receipt of the money.

I'm a bit suspicous when paypal(an American company) say it could take 5 to 7 days to complete the transaction that way,as my bank(Natwest) is signed up to the "faster payments" method,so the money's transferred instantly from my bank a/c to paypal, who collect 54p for instantly re-routing it to Whatever's a/c.

This time,I tried Whatever's suggestion of sending it as "a personal payment of money due to the recipient",but last week I sent £10 by paypal to Jester for his TFF tenners league and described it as a "gift" then, for which Jester thought paypal would not charge, but the result was identical.

I recall TSO requesting paypal payments for his £10 league a while ago,not realising paypal charged and he received £9.46 from everyone and I think we all ended up sending him postage stamps in reimbursement !

Where people who don't otherwise use their paypal accounts know they'll have a few payments to make a few weeks later, the answer would probably be to transfer sufficient funds from their bank a/c in advance.

However, most payments are probably made by instant bank transfer,as when I transferred £10 to Spencer4 last week, when he received my £10 within a few seconds of sending me a PM with his bank a/c details. The way to go !

Let's face it,we're talking about the principle rather than the actual outlay, but when you consider how many millions of such instant transactions must be processed every minute by paypal x 54p minimum each time,it's a licence to print money !

I now intend to recoup my 54p many times over by winning this damn competition ! :D :D :D :D

12 in the league so far, and presumably quite a few more people would have received payment instructions from WHATEVER last night after the week-long PM backlog.

I can confirm that if you have money sitting in your PayPal account, then you won't pay a fee, providing the amount in your account is more than the 54p fee. For some reason, PayPal had given me 0.01p, and therefore I only paid a fee of 53p for the £10 transaction, as I already had 1p in my account.
