No worries, Maureenho. When I take first place come May, 54p will mean nothing! Bit sneaky of PayPal though. They give the choice but don't obviously tell you what the differences are between the choices. Worth a big mention in the T&Cs next season me thinks.

I just tried Personal Payment Owed and they still took 54p... :?

That's just taking the 54pee

24 Entries gives us a £240 prize fund split as follows:

1st place £72
2nd place £48
3rd place £24
Manager of the month £12 (September, October, November, December, January, February, March, April)

I would wish good luck to everyone but if everyone scored the same that would be no fun!

Da Silva Lining has a ten point lead going into the final weekend of October's Manager of the Month competition, but she doesn't look too well set up for the double gameweek. Will a ten point lead be enough to hold off four teams chasing her down, The Sea Wolves, Incandescent Rage FC, The Bare Bones and Butter Bridge United. There aren't many claret shirts in those teams either!

I assume that October MOTM is counting the two remaining games (today and Wednesday)? I suppose it has to really otherwise it would take some working out scorewise, especially when there are one or two decisions which I feel may yet be changed come final update on Wednesday night.

I'm pretty sure that's the way FPL work out monthly scores, and that's what the X-League should be using.

Agreed. I think with gameweek based games, it is inevitable that at times games will split months. I was in with a chance of the monthly in the Sky game (messed up though, blowing 4 transfers in the process!), and originally missed the fact that today's game wouldn't count because they follow the monthly by date, and you can make changes in between kick-offs in that game.

However, the Virgin game, where I was third for October, is a gameweek based game and they ended the month after last weekend's games, so the 9 games yesterday (in October), counted for November! I would have blown that one too, but it gets confusing playing all these different games!

In the world of FPL October does not finish until Wednesday.

Right now we have three teams locked together on 251 points, separated only by transfers made this month.

1st is Da Silva Lining (251:3) Dunne, Milner x2, Cole
2nd is Butter Bridge United (251:4) Dunne, Milner, Young
3rd is Zulu Bullets FC (251:5) Milner, Cole (cannot win unless Milner gets a negative score)
4th is Hoops! (248:6) Collins, Agbonglahor, Cole x2
5th is The Sea Wolves (241:5) Dunne, Collins x2 (if only he had Carr as his first sub)

Yep! Well done Le Red. I actually managed to climb to second which surprised me after Cole limped off and Collins disappointed for the second week. Here's to a new month!

I only got 27 points this game week and yet I do believe I'm manager of the month for November. What a shameful travesty I'm making of this aspect of the competition

Looking like a two horse race for December's manager of the month but Brightwater's eight double gameweekers might have something to say about that.

Forgot all about the montly prizes in this, and pretty suprised to see that I'm in pole position for December. Just need Klasnic to grab one or two against arsenal (another 2pts for Shava would be nice too), and a 0-0 at the Britannia would be absolutely lovely. Could be enough to get my first ton too 8-)

Those 8 doublers sounds dangerous though, and hancockjr is certainly no slouch.

Game on!

I could win if Arshavin has a fantastic game and Fabregas plays. Too much to ask for I guess, hoping for a miracle here.

Thanks for the confirmation WHATEVER, and what can I say, an atrocious start has been overturned with some consistency and decent results of late. I will also say, it's somewhat cheapened by the Arsenal game being abandoned, but I'll take it.

All to be undone this gameweek though... c'est la vie
