As I've pointed out on last year's thread, I've such little time on my hands with, well, a life :P (actually, trying to sort out my career and other online commitments) that I can't organise a 'meta' championship for the regions, but I think that at the very least we should have a thread so that we can find the codes for the various regions as well as generate some banter.

So... if you are the administrator for one of the regions, post the code here for your region, and I'll add it into the 'yellow pages'. I've set-up blank entries in the expectation that they will be filled, new regions can be added:

[Region - LoL Ranking* - Code - Administrator - Additional comments]

ENDORSED/OFFICIAL LEAGUES - JOIN ANYTIME DURING THE SEASON
Join only one league, the region which corresponds to your location of residence (home).

Americas Image - 233 - 83825-26677 - footballjournalist - north, south, central and Caribbean area
Anglia Image - 1,129 - Code on request to admin - blahblah - excludes Essex, which is part of London&HC region
London & Home Counties Image - 76 - 154350-45584 - CarlosTheFinger - includes Essex
Midlands Image - 418 - 214865-59144 - Stick -
North Image - 1,854 - 55816-129597 - Karrde - Covering the entire North of England; the Northwest, Lancashire and Northeast, stretching from Liverpool and Manchester, to Carlisle and the far east from Northumberland to Teeside
Oceania Image - 187 - 58135-122810 - FlaminGalah - Australia, New Zealand and all Pacific ocean islands and sovereign states
Scotland Image - 535 - 12815-5120 - Latic - Anyone north o' the border. Owning a Scottish Terrier doesn't count :)
South Coast Image - 1,110 - 84416-71142 - Jeffersdn - Covering the entire south coast, from Land's End to Dover and Canterbury. Formerly this was the old Meridian league, but has since expanded to takeover the defunct Southwest league.
Wales Image - 3,737 - 488-29416 - spudder -
(2010/11) Yorkshire Image - 105,289 - 101116-146048 - RichH6109 - New league replacing the apparently defunct old Yorkshire league. Needs more to join to attain ranking status!
Rest of the World Image - 637 - 3711-116748 - Ironfist - Emcompasses mainland Europe (including Nordic area), all-Ireland, Africa, Russia, Middle East and Asia.

FINAL STANDINGS
1. London & Home Counties - 76th
2. Oceania - 187th
3. Americas - 233rd
4. Midlands - 418th
5. Scotland - 535th
6. Rest of the World - 637th
7. South Coast - 1,110th
8. Anglia - 1,129th
9. North - 1,854th
10. Wales - 3,737th
11. Yorkshire - 105,289th

OLD LEAGUES
Asia Image - 217028-59622 - NEONTETRA - Although it is still possible to join the 'old' Asia league, all Asia-based FISOers are encouraged to join the Rest of the World league

:o Interesting how you give the Americas their own region as well as to Oceania, yet bundle the Rest of the World into one region.
eg... there are enough people here from India for 2 whole teams...

There are also enough Europeans here to separate them from the Asians, Africans and rest...

I am willing to moderate the Rest of the World team, but... if the numbers get too large, I'm making it my own decision/call when and how to split it further!

I'll contact you by pm for admin purposes.

The thing is that that is not how it worked out last season - fpl-fiso-regional-leagues-admin-t61719.html. While the Americas (19 teams) and Oceania (22) could boast credible leagues, none of the other 'overseas' leagues had more than 12 teams, which suggests that grouping them together is a better way forward.

The floor is your's, Karrde :) Just set-up the league and post the code here.

I'm thinking that I should probably start a thread on the main board to advertise the regions.

Who did NW last season? Wont the league recreate itself under their account? I dont want to confuse things by creating a second. If there is no Admin I will set it up no bother.

It will recreate if there was one - here's last season's thread where the answer to your question is to be found (somewhere  )

Cheers, it's a bit of nightmare I agree because this hasn't been tracked down the years. I shall keep up the heat in our investigations:

Actually, as youre trying to streamline the competition, it doesnt make much sense to have NW and Lancs both competing. For simplicity and to get things moving Ive created a North West league.

FISO North West: 55816-129597

OK, well I'll add that as the 'new' NW league, while I'll try and find out if the old has been re-created.

The 'Meridian' and 'South West' regions have now combined to form the 'Fiso South Coast' region.

Anyone from the South coast area can join the league using the pin in the first post.

NO, the Meridian league has simply changed names. In effect, Meridian is taking over Southwest.

I'm not sure who is running the Yorkshire league. I'm happy to take over the reins if no-one renews in the coming weeks.

What's happening with the Americas mini-league? If there is no renewal, I'd be happy to start one up?

If you can just bare with me for 3 or so more days, I think I've tracked who are the admin for these leagues and PM'd them. I'm trying everything I can to keep the old leagues alive as, if they can't/haven't been re-created, everyone in that region has to signed up again.

Someone has renewed the league, but I've no idea what the code is. Might be worth looking at last years thread and pm'ing the guy who set up the midlands league.

Right, so we're getting very close now to the full set as it were.
Two things:

1) Is anyone a member of one of the following leagues if they've been recreated: Americas, Ireland, Northwest (old), Yorkshire. If so, please PM or post the URL of the league table. PS. There might other be even older leagues out there, please fill me in!

2) Should the new (2010) Northwest league have a name change to 'North' to include the Northeast, as it would appear an admin is not forthcoming for the Northeast? Should in theory be a mighty big league.

FISO Yorkshire has been created. Tacalabala has been PM'd the code and will update the original post accordingly.

Sincere apologies if the original Yorkshire admin turns up - I can always delete the league if it happens in good time.

Now, let us show the southern shandy drinkers how to play FPL... :D
