Yep, I was having the same problem, it says loading and then nothing happens, but actually somewhere at the top in red it mentions size issues.

Thanks for setting me straight too FG.

I wish I could claim this was mine but it's not. I didn't want to start a new thread on it so this thread'll have to do :):

Taken from here.

I just love the apparent cockiness and bravery of the protester. Of course, there could be thousands of ppl behind him but at face value it's like a scaled-down version of the Tiananmen square student vs tank image. Courage personified.

I though about posting that without the explanation to see what sort of reaction it got but then I remembered that he likes to know who is or isn't ;)

Good pics flyman but i can't say i like what you did to that pic as it looks a bit overdone but that's just my personal taste.

Thanks, Surprised. Yes, I can understand your feelings on the last one.

In fact, all I did was cut out the clouds reflected in the sea, re-sized it, then adjusted the colour balance and contrast automatically with the software (MS Picture It) - just one click! So it's not that doctored, really.

I like it as an abstract, Turner-esque, Impressionistic thing. You can still see the effect of the ripples, though just why the software thinks that clouds should be golden-brown, I don't know.
I'll be interested to see how it prints - just waiting for a new cartridge of coloured ink to come in the post! Ah! the joys of Island life.

It's probably this that sort of turns me against it. It's hard to see what it is. If you have photoshop you can mess around with the oil painting filter to get the impressionistic type look.
You are lucky to live in such a scenic place!

Indeed I am - but if you could see the flat, featureless grey skies and slating rain we have right now ..... :(
Days like that one are to be treasured and seized with both hands! Fortunately I can down tools and grab the camera whenever the opportunity arises - however rarely!
I'm a very lucky man. :)

I do have an old version of PS, but really need to sit down and do some online tutorials, as I just find it mind-numbingly overwhelming to come to terms with - hence my usual use of Picture It, I'm ashamed to say.
I have saved one or two photo from the bin with PS, though, converting them to 'pastel' or whatever suited - amazing, amazing product, PS. I really should take the time .....

PS is my favourite software.
If your current version doesn't allow editing in LAB mode then I strongly suggest upgrading. I have saved many dull lifeless photos and non destructively added pop and colour this way.

A whole new perspective on that picture now, actually meant this one. Might clear it up. Getting some practice resizing and uploading anyways.
