Due to the rule changes for next season it makes sense to have all our teams in one league

Admin has asked me to chair the official FISO league - I chaired prize-winning leagues in The Times game last year and The Metro the year before

League name - FISO

Password - FISO

Everyone is welcome to join - if this league wins the prize of £2500 , it will be split equally between the top 5

Everyone should read this viewtopic.php?f=2&t=27293 before entering

The deadline for entering mini-leagues is December 1st

Andy

I may have been a bit pre emptive Iassume the rules are as many teams as you wish to enter?

Hi Andy

Do you think there is any danger of the Star's late mini league deadline of 1st December causing problems?

We've seen it in plenty of other games, where as the password is freely available, non-fiso users doing well overall then discover the minileague code so add themselves to the league, which could then push a fiso member (in from the start) out of any prize places.

cheers
Geoff

Totally agree BB. I personally would'nt post the password to a Mini League where prize money is at stake unless the player posted his interest on this thread first then I would PM everybody the password. Perhaps this one of the Leagues where the Manager has the power of veto and can add or remove players as he see's fit. ?

I would also think about setting a cut off date for joining the League.

Sorry to butt in, but if you like we could alter the mini league password for you at an agreed time.
The new password would be known only to us and the league chairman. This should prevent any last minute glory hunters dropping in and stealing your cash!

Would that solve your problem?

Let me know.

it is good of Star FF to offer that option though all that is necessary is for the league chairman to stipulate that the prize will be shared between the top five who were in the league by a date chosen by the chairman eg one week after season starts.

To clarify ...

Everyone is welcome to join this league up until December 1st

If someone joins at the end of November with a high-scoring team which increases the league's average score - brilliant :D

As chairman of this league I am quite keen on it winning the one prize available so the more teams the merrier

Good luck to everyone for the season

Andy

No harm to you Andy you're doing a great job setting up the Mini League and I will probably throw in a couple of teams myself, but my concern still is, what if 5 non Fisoers throw in their top teams at the end of November and Fiso wins 0% of zilch.

No rush then

If anyone wants to chair a Fiso members early closing league I'd put a few in that also.

I must be missing something here, but how do I register to play this game. :? When I go to the site it asks me to enter my log in details but never having played before I obviously don't have any, but I can't see where to register, HELP !!

I think you have to pick a team in order to register

Click on 'CLICK HERE TO PLAY NOW' underneath where it says get 3 teams for a tenner

re your concerns about the mini-league - have a look at the final leaderboards from the last few seasons . I realise the rules have changed slightly but if the majority of FISOers put their teams in this league it will win (in my opinion) and whoever is in the top 5 will deserve 500 quid . Looking at some of the names that have already joined 3 weeks before the season starts I will be amazed if the FISO league doesn't win and I will be very surprised if a non-FISO member is in the top 5 at the end of the season

Good luck

Andy

I've put a team in "Pa'stic Thistle" :D

If anyone is interested in joining I have set up a "One Team Only" Mini League with a cut off date of 12 September. star-single-team-early-closing-league-t61626.html

I'm in.

Found it hard to choose between the models though; was trying to go for the ugliest one on the basis that it would be a less competitve league :)

Sheesh, put three teams in after wading through registration and selection for an hour as the sit eplayed silly beggars.

Upside -chose 'Eva' as my Star Babe because realisation suddenly dawned on me I've got about half a dozen megapixel high-quality photosets of her nude tucked in a dark corner of my HD from when she was modelling for 'arty' adult sites a couple of years ago. Nice to see she's keeping in shape...

Just sort of stumbled across them on that interweb highway thingy...
