Morning all.

Not sure where to flag this so stuck it here.

I am running Norton antivirus both at home and at work. And last night at home my Norton system detected a virus (and dealt with it). This morning on logging in at work the Norton system here detected the same thing.

Norton has probably mistaken the ads for viruses.

You really need to look at what it thinks the virus is.

Just logged on to FISO only and also ran Norton - nothing doing.
As Sp4 says check what the file was, Norton flags up tracking cookies as low risk threats - which at the end of the day is bollocks really!

If it's a known Norton side effect then I guess there is nothing to worry about.

Interesting why it would happen at home when I have been running Norton for about 4 months and last night was the first time it came up. (My work Norton was only installed yesterday).

I am guessing there is a new ad on here?

AV picked up something when I logged on last night, and a Java box popped up :?:
Av handled it but I had to reboot :?:

On my Mac here at work I am told I need additional plug-ins to display all of the content when I first visit the home page. Sounds a little dodgy to me. I don't have any special virus protection software installed.

Have asked fiso's server consultant to run a check in case there is an issue.

Works fine on my mac, though I have ad blocker working. I see the ticker and the Sun ads that are there.

If it is like mine your back button would just try and take you to the http://www.wuoieo.cc/... pages that open en rout eto FISO. No idea what they are as they just route to FISO.

He's found the problem and removed it. Will investigate how it happened.

Was it a media file trying to download? I got that and thought I must have hit something else.

I think so. I'm a fellow luddite and that is what I did! No problems since. Yet.....

Would advise anyone that hasn't already done so to download the free avast ant virus software plus malwarebytes anti malwareware.
Once done run the scans.

(( I am FISO server administrator ))

I've found a second backdoor and cleaned this one too.

Please clear your Browser cache again and let me know of any other problem. Our server is under heavy monitoring in order to track suspicious program behaviours.
