The weekly teams are in this thread: forum-challenge-fiso-vs-fantasy-football-scout-t88990.html

Stealing an idea without shame from the Scout, why don't we get a panel of Fiso FPL players to sort out a suggested team of the week for the coming week.

It would be interesting to have one place for people to go if they're interested in seeing the thoughts of our 'experts' or are just plain super lazy.

Kdub is putting forward his own team of the week here: post1883233.html

We can have a bit of fun in seeing how our team matches up to the Scout's team and Kdubs (if he keeps it going).

Firstly, lets have a panel of experienced players to comment and help pick each week. My idea would be to get about 12 of us, and to have a team in place (with 3 subs) by Friday afternoon.

The Panel:

Spencer4
Richt
Golden Bear
blahblah
Surprised
Knulpuk
Ironfist
Abhishekrocked
The Real Slim Shady
Oatfedgoat
Robin Write
Kdub
From4corners
Bandit

so the team for GW7 looks like this:

Image

Bench of Vorm, Dyer, Ward, Orr

3-4-3 formation

I'll give it a go. Be nice to stick it up to the Scout.

Would a positioning of 1.6m th in GW 1 disqualify me as an expert

If not - count me in

Obviously the first thing to remember is that this is just for one week, so forthcoming fixtures etc are not relevant.

For this reason I'd be more inclined towards Home players and players from teams who are expected to win.

Obvious, I know, but it does take a different way of looking at it from the usual one.

Questions that need answering:

1. Do we blindly pick Aguero?
2. Chelsea, Everton & Villa will win, won't they?
3. Man U, Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool will knock spots off each other, thus making them less attractive?

A. You better get a few real experts in that team of yours.
B. 12 people is too many. You'd need half that number to get things agreed upon in time.
C. Try to make a diverse team, not an old-guard bunch of friends.
D. If you need another semi-expert... I'd be happy to take part.

2. Chelsea, Everton & Villa will win, won't they? If they can score, yes and err not sure.
3. Man U, Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool will knock spots off each other, thus making them less attractive? de Gea will be in goal, Arsenal's defence is in tatters........

I think you need enough people's input so as to actually get some diversity, and there's no certainty that the whole panel will be around every week either.

You're in.

My idea is that anyone can make comments, advise on picks, but only the panel members will select the players that are finally considered.

As an idea, I'd like the panel members to select one GK, two Defs, two Mids, and a striker each, so 6 for those can't can't add up.

With these selections we can form the spine of the team and then work the rest around it dependent on our less agreed-upon picks.

My six-pack for GW2:
GK - Given
Def - Warnock & Bosingwa
Mid - T.Cahill & Sessengon
Str - Dzeko

Are we sure Bosingwa's going to play? I didn't think he played that well on Sunday anyway.

Anyone against QPR is my call -

Cahill (T)
Jagielka
Saha

Then take some Blackburn Exposure

Given
Warnock

Those should fit into most teams - to which I would add Malouda - think Chelsea will slip into gear this weekend.

Did you see Blackburn?

75% chance per FPL of turning out

Well, I have taken into account the fact that we have a budget to deal with, so having just the expensive options from all teams is useless. However, and regardless of his relatively heap price, I actually thought Bosingwa did rather well - very attacking and involved.

Probably more to do with Stoke not having any fullbacks to attack him and Etherington not playing the last half and hour, but I do realize we're going to have to be quite clever with our budgeting.

I think you have to look at Baines and Saha for this weekend coming.

Would be tempted with D Bent too.

Not sure cost is an issue this week, as none of the expensive forwards appeal.

Schwarzer

Baines, Hangeland

Cahill, Downing

Saha, Suarez\Carroll

Although vdV vs de Gea is very tempting.

You can, just take part in the discussions and come up with a 'spinal 6' at some point.

Questions that need answering:

1.Do we blindly pick Aguero? No,He will not score 2 goals and assists for 30 min..Wait for 2 gws till Tevez saga end
2. Chelsea, Everton & Villa will win,
won't they? Why not and will keep cleanies.
3. Man U, Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool will knock spots off each other, thus making them less attractive? No, Will all this top teams not scores once at all. This clubs are having top players it's just 2-3 fixtures that worries about it.The rest 34 fixtures are Fine..why to worry..

Just remember that this is a team for the week's fixtures only. Aguero may or may not score 2 goals for every 30 minutes played during the season, the only question you have to answer is whether he'll score against Bolton on Sunday.

What Man U, Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool players do over the course of the season is immaterial, it's whether they will score sufficiently well on Sat/ Sun against each other that matters.

You are trying to pick the best team for the week ahead.

1. Do we blindly pick Aguero? yes He will play some part and will easily earn bonus points..
2. Chelsea, Everton & Villa will win, won't they? They will not lose At-least they will draw or win...
3. Man U, Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool will knock spots off each other, thus making them less attractive?Sure.... It can end draw as the first week...

My initial thoughts are:

Vorm

He's dirt cheap and Swansea have a great home record. Wigan could be party-poopers but he'll make saves as well.

Baines

Everton must be favoured to do well in this game and he's the premier defender in the game.

Stephen Ward

I don't see this bloke as an out and out defender and he's already bagged a goal. Home to Fulham looks clean-sheet possible.

Silva

Nobody who saw his performance against Swansea would happily overlook him for this week.

Larsson

Home to Newcastle, he could be the main threat for them.

Suarez

Arsenal defence looks ready for the taking and he's already shown he's fit and willing.

Others I'd look at are Dobbie, Bent, Van Persie, A Young and Rooney.
