THE OFFICIAL FISO FIVE-A-SIDE (FISO 5AS) ASSOCIATION RULES

This competition is based on the fantasy.premierleague.com game. You must already have a team in that game to be able to play.

OFFICIAL 5AS RULES

Setting up a team

1) Every club must have exactly five FISO members.
2) Every club member must have one premierleague.com team.
3) Every club must nominate a captain.
4) The captain must create a league at fantasy.premierleague.com. (Note: set "Scoring Starts" to "Gameweek 1")
5) The league must be called "FISO 5AS" + clubname. (e.g. FISO 5AS Tigers).
6) All five members must join the league. See Rule 12, below.
7) The captain should publish the league and club details on appropriate threads like this:

- FISO 5AS The Muvvas - Wyld(C), UmExcuseMe, Jonathan, shawpower, viddleodge

Official Scoring

8) The club's score is the average of the score of the five teams in the club.
9) At the end of the season, the club with the highest average score wins.
9a) Other competitions based on F5A may of course exist, with different scoring (e.g. Head-to-Head, Cup Competitions). Read their rules for more details.

Numptification

10a) Captains can at anytime numptify (expel) any player in their club, including themselves, for bringing the game into disrepute, talking contractually with another club, being generally useless, not turning up for training, dissing the captain, not posting on FISO, dying, etc. Numptification should be announced by way of a press release.

10b) Captains can be numtified by their club only if all four other players agree. In this case the captain should surrender the league to another player, or the other four players should form a new league, recruit a new player, and elect a new captain.

Recruiting a Replacement Player

11) At any time during the season, any player may be replaced by another player with a lower or equal score. Special rules apply during the Transfer Market windows: see rule 16, below.

12) There is no rule 12.

13) There is no rule 13.

Club Badge, Chant, etc.

14) Clubs are expected to have a club badge (80x80pixels, non-animated), team photo, club strip, and terrace chant, and generally promote themselves whilst taking the piss out of the opposition. Inter-team rivalry is encouraged.

Tapping up

15) Clubs are permitted to poach players from other clubs as long as rules 11 and 16 are not broken.

Transfer Window

16) During the official FIFA transfer windows (currently end-of-season until the 31 August, and the whole of January) a player in the team may be replaced by another, regardless of either players score.

"I am just going outside and may be some time."

Two weeks to be exact, on holiday, which means that I will not be posting here for a while. I'll update the first post as soon as I get back.

In the meantime, I'm sure someone honest like Jonathan can help the rest of you interpret the rules as they are intended....

I'm more than willing to join The Experts, but maybe I'm a bit dense but I can't work out how to do so. I've looked around for a link or message about codes etc but couldn't see how it's done. Once again I'm shame faced

I'm slightly confused by this too :?

When I finally announce a team - where do I put it :?: (There will a short version - name, squads and links - and a long version with pictures, chant, and in-depth self-analysis :) )

Looking for some pointers on where these would be best

Well, Wyld has always been the originator of this comp, Romyn. Just wondering why a duplicate thread was opened...? I can't ask in there because I am not the captain!

Post your team on either thread, I'll sort it out when I get back, or I'll just copy all the hard work of someone else. Jonathan - I thought I left you in charge.

Please note that this is the official official rules thread for 5AS - accept no alternatives!

The plan is to rise from the ashes
The reality is we will return from where we came.

The name change was Bernie Yellowstones idea, he thinks The Cuties is not intimidating anyone and a new firey attitude is what the club need to propell itself up the table.

Sorry, just thought i'd help out by creating a thread with no other comments on just the captains entering the teams on, then wyld wouldn't have to go looking through all the threads to find the team links, when he gets back off hols

You can close it if you want, won't bother next time

:( - Didn't mean any offence - was just a bit puzzled is all.

Now I see what it's for  it's sounds like a good plan.

With all the activity going on in the recruitment thread and with this one bound to get busier as time goes on a quite zone for team links etc (even if they're posted here too) will probably be a great benefit :D

My plan therefore is to post team setup here and there and a full layout in the recruitment one. Whether that's the right approach or not - only time will tell :?

awwww.... don't get the 'ump the pom, we meant no offence. Just seemed odd, and there is always a danger that somebody will post in one and not the other. Perhaps a little edit in your post just to explain?

I blame Wyld for leaving me in charge.
