I have opened this thread for the benefit of the few who are not aware of Wylds offer regarding the Reserves.

In short, he has amended Rule 13, which now stipulates that 5AS Captains will now have to select replacements for numptified managers from The Reserves/Transfer Market, and as a result of this, Numpties will now find themselves in the Reserves where they can lick their wounds and make an attempt to return to the big leagues :D

So, good news all round 8-)

I should point out that Rule 11 still applies.

11) At any time during the season, any player may be replaced by another player with a lower or equal score. Special rules apply during the January Transfer Market window: see rule 16, below.

16) During the January Transfer Window only, a player may be replaced by another player provided the Transfer Window Threshold (TWT) is not exceeded. The value of the TWT will be determined later by the rules committee.

This thread can now be used as a platform for new applications, and also for current members of the Reserves to speculate about those who may be walking the tightrope towards numptification from the big leagues.

Captains may choose whoever they like from the existing pool of managers, and Reserve Managers can choose whether or not they wish to join the team concerned.

Any updates regarding the above will be posted at a later date

Dare I point out, as Captain of the Muvvas, that my score is currently lower than that of all the reserves!

An official statement from the board of Muvvas FC released today reads...

"We are an ambitious team and we have discussed our expectations with Wyld.

"For that we need our captain's standards to be of the highest quality so that we can compete with the best.

"Wyld has confirmed to us that he feels he is equipped with a squad and a determination to take the challenge."

"We, the board, owe it to the team and the supporters to constantly assess our position and performance and to ensure that we have the ability to operate and compete at that level.

"We have made a massive investment in the squad and as a result we have the best squad of players this club has had for over 2 years and they are equally hungry for success and silverware."

However, some sections of the media are speculating that pressure is continuing to mount after the Muvvas lost two of their first three matches this season. They did manage to beat the warriors 5-0 in GW2, but considering their foot of the table position this mightn't be enough to satisfy the board......

i can confirm a whisper from an inside source within the muvvas organisation that captain wyld has been stocking for the winter and will indeed be playing with a pair. furthermore, the gameplan was to let the little kids have a run in the first bit before crushing them for here on in.

hail the muvvas and long live captain wyld.

Sorry FLB, as a newcomer to FISO I find a different thread every day.

The 5 aside comp seems an excellent idea & it would be great to be able to take part.

Gabba gabba hey

Would anyone in the reserves be up for making up a competing team next season, providing we don't get in a current squad?

I'm not in the reserves league atm (trying to keep the FISO mentions to a minimum on my FPL team page :) ), but I'd be interested in joining a team too next season

Have patience guys. Last year we had five or six joining the 5AS comp during the January transfer window. Just keep building those scores.

Captains: it's time to kick out the numpty who is spoiling your club and bring in some new blood! Players: it's time to give your old club the boot and take your chances in the market!...

The FISO 5AS Transfer Window opens midnight, 31st December. READ MORE HERE.

I'm the only numpty in my team since i am the only one in the top 50 of the 100 5AS teams. Since i refuse to numptify myself and everyone else is underperforming in glorious fashion its no change at The Phoenix. :D

The only way anyone will ever get numptified from my 5AS team is if they fail to actively manage their teams as per the only rule made when The Cuties were created last season. Everyone has been so everyone is safe. Sorry to the reserves but i am sure some with more loftier ambitions than us will snap up 1 or 2 of you.

For all of you 5AS captains out there, I am currently on a cracking run of form. Have been doing shite all season, but the last 3 weeks have seen a plethora of points come my way, and GW19 has given me 70 points so far with 1 to play, and a 6pt defender to come off of the bench!

Premier Eleven has just been put on the market for the upcoming January transfer window and is currently tied on points (1055) with the top spot in the 5AS Reserve/Tsfr Mkt league. The team has shown consistency, only 4 times scoring fewer than 50+ points (the last of which was on GW11), and has hit a decent run of form heading into the new year.*

*all stats current as of the 28/12/2007

The Dudes are delighted to announce that SGB and his team FC Boscoppa will be joining our squad from January 1st :)

This transfer has been forced on us by the suspicious activities of one of the Dudes, who for 10 of the last 12 Gameweeks has been attending his grandmother’s funeral in Ireland instead of actively managing his team. It was the board’s considered opinion that, since most people only have two grandmothers (and they only tend to die once), the Dude in question wasn’t taking FPL entirely seriously. It’s a credit to the remaining Dudes that we have managed to remain in the 5AS top five throughout this difficult period.

SGB has led the 5AS Reserves league for much of the season and our scouts have had their eye on him for some time. The chairman is therefore confident that he’ll be worth every penny of his £90,000 a week salary (although it’s not as much as the rest of us are on  ).

Thanks for the welcome guys. Very pleased to have joined such a high-flying club and certain I've made the right choice. The fact that you were the only team to make me an offer is I'm sure irrelevant.
