Well fellow Reprobates all we have to do is beat the current group leaders and we're through. Good luck guys. Let's do this.

Good start......... 4½ - 4 to the Repro's on the RVP scoreometer :P

Squeaky bum time - Spartak have a must-win last game against the group leaders Killer Bees to avoid elimination.

By my reckoning, half time score looks like this...
Spartak 257 with 21 to play
Killer Bees 278 with 20 to play

Killer Bees have their noses in front, but a goal or two for the returning Suarez could yet make all the difference in this one... game on!

Need some goal difference too as it's conceivable we could win and still finish outside the top 4. Have no doubts that the Killer Bees would throw their game by a dramatic landslide in order to see us miss out on qualification

In Group A in the match between 5th placed The Reprobates and 1st placed The Rejects I make it as follows:-

Reprobates 271 with 25 to play
Rejects 269 with 22 to play

If it stays that way then Reprobates and Rejects would both be through I think. Too many permutations still plus all the bonii etc. though, but's it going to be damn close.

Bottom line is.........we lose we're out. So come on lads one last 110% effort in the next 35 hours.

Reprobates 311 with 12 to play
Rejects 297 with 7 and 1 Bale(c) to play (and a couple of autosubs. J Evans being one of them :D )

Reasonably confident but it's not over yet.

Looks like Spartak are going out this evening. While it ain't over until the fat lady etc, they are trailing the Killer Bees 369-332 and have no realistic chance of turning that must-win match around.

Group of Death has claimed its first victim.

I've got a worrying feeling about this. I'm now in last place in our squad after a dire Van Persiless week. :?

Unless the Nuts or Daddies have secured 12 points for a win in their final game and had an epic goal difference turnaround, I'd say the Zombies are quite safe

Or if both we and the Stokies lose then the Bad Boys could also take us over on GD.

So how would you summarise your season to date Dr B 8-)

Four teams qualify my good man, and due to the seedings it's better to finish 4th than 3rd as you get an easier draw 8-)

Up and down? :? Re this particular week I refer to a Skype sent to a colleague earlier: "I'm getting quite annoyed now. How can one player dominate so much. It's confusing because as an Arsenal fan I want him to do well but as someone who can't afford him I want him to suffer an unfortunate accident!". :(

I've already started sucking up to Ray which is now very necessary as I'm languishing in 5th. :P

Worry about? I thought is was exactly as we discussed - why else with someone of your undoubted FPL pedigree have "taken-one-for-the-team".

We are now exactly where we wanted to be.

Good work Dr B.

I'm not suggesting you haven't made it to the next round, but by itself your victory over the Rejects wouldn't be enough.

Before that game, you were on the same points, but with a GD of - 79,whereas the Rejects were +79 coincidentally.

As the actual score(net) was 408-353,you reduced your GD deficit by 55 = -24 now
The Rejects lost 55 of their +79 = new GD of +24,so you won't be going through at the expense of the Rejects, whose GD is still superior to yours.

Don't panic though,as you'll probably go through at the expense of the loser of the tie between the Sistas and the Missing Links - : I'm just being mischievous

Well, I think it was quite plain at the start that we were going to make it through, quality will out and all that, and the new lad fitted in right well, I can't see anyone stopping us now. This is the game, and we are the players. Bring it on.

Sad to see me old mates the Muvvas go out, but you know they ain't what they were in my heyday.

With some difficulty establishing the Totem Poles line-up, as their team sheet link on the 5AS page shows only 1 of their 5 teams, it appears the Red Arrows have beaten them by 241-221(net)
