This weekend is the last chance to improve your Premier League position, which determines which of the prize tiers you'll be in for the knock-out stages.

My ISO team is 5th (so in the second tier) and I'd need to make up a minimum 8 points to make it into the top tier. My other team is 11th :-( and is fairly certain to be in the 3rd tier. My plan of saving all my transfers (only used 2) has failed again!

I would think 2nd tier with so many transfers left might be a good position to be in....good luck anyway.

Well, that went well!

Before last night, I was 8 points behind 4th place with his Kompany and Tevez against my Hart, Baines and Arteta. No point playing Hart as he could only match Kompany at best. So I had to hope for Everton to score as many as possible. I swapped the suspended Arteta for Cahill and sat back hoping he'd pick up 5 points and that Everton would keep a clean sheet.

I didn't get the clean sheet, but Baines' 3 points, Cahill's 5 and Kompany's -1 means I sneak into the top tier by a point!

Only 12 transfers left, mind...

1st place in my PL - by a whopping 30 points - but only 13 trannies left. :? Was in the top 150 before last night's game.

Two firsts, one second and a fourth. Not worried about it to be honest. My top team is 51st, which is nice, and hopefully I can make up some more ground. I just hope that those of you holding on to all those trannies brought in Nani, Carroll and Hart, and added Cahill and VDV.

Also two firsts and one ninth. All with something like 10 transfers left. By the way, is it true that Cahill will miss all matches in January due to the Asia Cup? Heard something like that when I watched Man City v Everton last monday..
