So what's the "in" game?

Years ago (lates 90's) I was a FIFA man.
Then switched to pro evo for a good while (8/9 years).

Been out of the game for a while and not had either for the last two years.
Considering treating myself for Xmas, so is there a clear winner?

I've got a PS3.

Played Fifa 12 quite a bit and can highly reccommend it.. the defending takes some getting used to but very good fun. Shame you havent got an xbox so I can give you a pasting :)

FIFA by a long way IMO

Pro Evo used to always be the best for playability and Fifa always looked the best (pro evo doesn't have the licences for team names etc). Fifa changed their game engine about 3 seasons ago and is now far better in all areas. FIFA 12 is great, the only criticism is that its not a great deal different to FIFA 11, but obviously that wont bother you having not played for a few years.

FIFA 12 for me.

Better gameplay, graphics, official licenses.

I read somewhere that FIFA 12 had outsold pes 12 by 25:1 on like for like weekends.

Just bought FIFA 12 (on PS3). Had it 4 days and absolutely hate it. Response to your button presses seems delayed at times, passing seems off at times and the defending, while much more realistic than previous years, I find boring and frustrating.

Was a Pro Evo man up until PES6 then switched to Fifa couple years ago. Played at highest level on both with a good record so was really surprised when I loaded this up. I mean the other night I lost to Accrington Stanley in the third round of the FA Cup FFS!

Maybe I need to give it more time, but each time I do I just get more frustrated with it. Yet to have a go online with it so will give that a crack and see what happens.*

*My controller going through the tv screen has potential.

Same as everyone else, was FIFA then Pro Evo and more recently back to FIFA. However, I still configure the buttons so they are the same as the Pro Evo ones 8-)

Now your talking.

Countless hours spent on this. Lobbing the keeper from kick off was always a favourite.

Quality.

Yes! I used to love scoring ridiculously looping curled shots :P
Romario "Brown Face" kicked some serious ass!

I remember simulating world cups by playing every game myself, and keeping paper records... God I was (am) sad!

Did you pick up either of these Zimm? Have to admit after my first review of FIFA12 above, I'm getting the hang of it and starting to rack up some wins. Never played a footie game thats taken so long to get to grips with before (maybe I'm getting old  ).

I'm the same as all others by the look of it!

Was FIFA player in the distant past, switched to pes around turn of the century, maybe touch before, now back into FIFA, but with pes button configuration (on ps3).
