There's a particular reason why Blair Witch ended with someone standing in a corner with their back to the camera, and for that reason it did send a shiver down my spine. More than that, it horrified me.

Has anyone seen the French film Ils [aka Them]? Very similar feel to it, and similarly scary.

I 'appreciated' the reason behind the scene but it just didn't work for me, could have been a different story with a better director and/or actors...

Haven't seen the sequel but have (generally) heard that it's better than the first flick.

Personally prefer 'The Transporter' & the imaginatively titled 'Transporter 2' but 'Crank' is decent enough nonetheless...

Theres some excellent scenes in that, like when she's surrounded in the woods and she hears that clicking sound in every direction, and when she's in that room full of those kind of transparant sheets hanging and shes being chased etc. Very eerie and based on a true story! :shock: bloody kids!

I also prefer Transporter (not the sequel so much). It's a great blend of humour, silliness and action. As much as I enjoy the subtle story-telling of a Korean revenge film I do love me a good "switch brain to off" flick! :P

There's (I hope) a very decent political satire starting at 10pm on BBC2. I've been looking forward to this for ages as a fan of The Thick Of It. It's got the same cast and writers as the TV series plus this feature version has the added benefit of taking the piss out of US politicians;

In The Loop (Bunkersharp)

Someone else has seen it, way to go! I guessed what the clicking sound was quite early on, but then, years ago, when people used to take them to football matches, I used to have one.

I would but I can't decide if I should read the book first! :lol:

I managed to catch up on one last week - The Escapist*. Not half bad. I think The Beach will be next as I've just finished that book.

* recommended on 16/11/2009! :lol:

Considering the amount of time it's taking you to get around to watching these recommendations I'd strongly suggest skipping the book is the way to go :lol: (especially as you may need to free up some space on your hard drive for a couple of this weekend's movies :wink: )...

One down, three more added. :lol:

I'm guessing Day Watch & Silent Hill are two of the three added...

Nice try - one out of two. :) I've already seen Silent Hill at your recommendation but I don't think I've seen Troy and No Way Out looks interesting. Fortunately I've seen all of the others (or already have them recorded!).

Stardust and Revolver were both great films, although they don't have a lot in common. ;)

Have just set this to V+ - been meaning to watch it for absolutely ages. I remember it getting rave reviews when it came out.
