Before we head into the myre that is that US Open I thought it would be good to get an idea on everyones fantasy golf progress this term.
Mine is hilarious in one area and respective elsewhere so keen to see how everyone else is doing and what they think of it.
May make interesting reading come year end - who else can join the Johnson / Watney / McIlroy / Mulhall collapse!

My current stats

Yahoo Fantasy golf - 4th in Fiso league full year / currently 1st Spring section (Overall ranking - * million or something)
Yorkshire Golf - best ranking 1 - current 43rd - Mthly win of 9 holes with pro & weekly win of swing analysis
Scotsman - best ranking 4 - current ranking 11. currently leading fiso league
NCG - 39th currently - 6th in fiso league
Irish Times - top 2 teams 420th and 587th (not really sure how this fairs - doesnt seem very good)

And now for the fun
OFL - 12 teams
Every team has been maximised every week and used transfers as necessary to ensure 6 starters
Best team 262nd with 617 points
Only 4 teams in top 500 and 2 of them would mean sharing 10% with the Wales fiso lot if it had a return ;0)
Just cant get over how atrocious this lot is and resigned to efforts for a weekly prize (Havent even saved a team with full transfers for the fall.

Best chance of a return still really is getting lucky on a weekly OFL or sneaking up the NCG
Will be good to review post 14th July OPEN event

Yahoo Fantasy golf - Didn't enter as I didn't really understand it and it looked too much like hard work!!!
Yorkshire Golf - best ranking 7 - currently 11th, 79th, 146th, 159th and 321st. Daft bloke here entered 5 teams in this rubbish one and didn't have time to enter 5 for the Irish Times where the prizes are a lot better. Lesson learnt for next year.
Scotsman - best ranking 168th - current ranking 168th. Top of 'FISO Pro's' mini league!!!!!!
NCG - 209th currently - 19th in fiso league (including a 'Lister' two weeks ago!!!)
Irish Times - best ranking 1716th - current ranking 2609th. Only one team entered.
OFL - As Yahoo!!!
European Tour -best ranking 87th - current ranking 100th
4 Majors - 57th

As you can see I'm currently making up the numbers but hope for a better second half to the golfing season!! There's always the Today's Golfer to focus on from next month!!

Best year by a mile so far!

OFL - currently 22nd (only team)
Yorkshire Post - currently 6th (have been 1st)

Didn't enter any others (maybe should have done!!).

Two teams in OFL - 120 (Sons' team) and 174 (mine)
Two teams in Yorkshire Post 18 (mine) and 122 (Sons' team)

Not bad but still find it difficult to make any real progress - despite doing fairly consistently well week by week. Trying to keep the kids at bay!

I'm doing better than usual this year:

Yahoo Fantasy golf - Fell away after a decent start. 12th in FISO league. Time diference means I miss making switches and my best scores are usually on the bench.

Yorkshire Golf - Best ranking 1st - current 7th overall - Multiple teams looks to be a good new feature.

Scotsman - Best ranking 71 - current ranking 144. 9th in FISO league. - A tough game to make up ground in with limited choices.

NCG - 332nd overall. - I like this format but never do well.

Irish Times - Best team 1404th - Despite similarities to YP and Scotsman game I have just not got anything going in this game.

OFL - (10 teams) Best Rank - 1st - Current rank 2nd Overall.
My first season of multple teams as I wanted to try a more methodic approach to this game. Hit the jackpot on week 1 with my 'Milk Cart' team.

Race To Dubia - Best rank 13th - Currently 25th overall - Great format, nice balance of transfers to squad ratio.

OFL - 555th (21 Tfrs Left. Best Position - 151). 1683rd (30. 936). 67th (17. 65).

NCG - 18th. (B.P. - 15th)

The Scotsman - 571st. (B.P. - 571st)

European Tour - 506th. (B.P. - 96th)

Irish Times - 3719th. 2310th. 457th. 2203rd. 120th. (Best Position of any - 120th)

Yorkshire Post - 221st. 25th. 115th. 53rd. 20th. (Best Position of any - 3rd)

However, one team sneaked into the top 100 the week before last, and nipped up to 63rd last week

A good US Open and I'll be right up there, a bad one and it'll be the fall series for me!

Have won a golf glove and a golf shirt in the Kerplookee comp, looking like that will be it for me this year
